Mount Pleasant Christian Church

We really love this church and wish we lived closer so we could attend more regularly. We are especially grateful for the Soul Care ministry provided by Ken. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful. We wish more churches offered this ministry because couples really need this marital support and guidance based on Christian values.

I’m going through some hard times in my life, and my family as well. We moved here from South Bend, Indiana
I lost my job, facing eviction, and still haven’t dealt with the loss of my mom, it just seems like life has been attacking me.
They wasn’t able to help me financially, not being able to buy my kids clothes, and barely able to keep food in the, and not knowing where to go if we have to leave our home.
I was able to get good food, and my kids some clothes. I so humbly appreciate everything, most people go through so much that they don’t appreciate the little things, but I am eternally grateful.

Was excited to be back to visit! Wish I lived closer so I could come more often. I love the children's ministry. They make my daughter feel comfortable right away which is great! I always enjoy the service as well...the worship, the sermon, all of it is great!! Everyone I encounter there always makes me feel very welcome and they go out of their way to help my daughter and I.

I attend a different church but occasionally visit Mt. Pleasant with my brother and his family. It is located in Greenwood, IN, on N. Bluff Rd. The atmosphere is very inviting and warm. As you go in there is a coffee bar in the lobby with friendly greeters, and tables and comfortable chairs to sit in while you wait for the service if you arrive early. The people are all friendly and helpful. The sanctuary itself is nice and inviting but large, with padded pews. I love the contemporary worship style and they have a wonderful worship team. They actually have a Saturday night service at 6:00 as well as Sunday morning services at 8:45, 10 (online as well as on-site) and 11:30. The preaching, by the lead pastor Chris Philbeck, is very dynamic and Biblically sound. He has a way of being honest but gentle in his preaching and you feel like he is speaking to you but not condemning you. He is very personable and remembers you once he has seen you. My family and I go maybe once a month or every couple months but he always remembers my name. One thing I love is that they have a sign language interpreter for the hearing impaired. I am not, but I love watching her interpret the service and watching the hearing impaired worship. So if you need that service this church offers it during the 10AM service. They also offer classes for children, youth and adults, so there is something for the whole family during the service. I have also seen service projects, mission trips, both overseas and in-country, and activities for the family listed. I highly encourage anyone looking for a church in or near the Greenwood area to check them out.

Having lived in NC, GA, FL, TX, VA, and now IN, we have attended many, many wonderful churches, but none compare to MPCC. If you want a church who truly lives the Great Commission...this is it. If you want to worship in Spirit and in Truth... this is it. If you want a place to serve as the hands and feet of Christ...this is it. If you want a place to be continually challenged to grow in knowledge and faith in your walk with Christ...this is it. If you want to be a part of the Body of Christ... this is it. And, if you want perfect? This is not it... because each one of us is merely a flawed disciple of Jesus Christ, saved by His grace, for His purposes. If you, too, are imperfect, you will fit right in. The preaching, the worship, the facilities, the children and youth programs are 2nd to none. Have you been praying for a sign? THIS IS IT!

Kristina is a fantastic spin bike class instructor. Her devotional prayers are uplifting and inspirational. She's blessed with a strong faith, patience and a genuine concern for helping others. Additionally, other participants were welcoming and quick to assist first timers. I plan to return.

Excellent excellent Church very dedicated Christian values family values, they service over 265 families each week that are in need of food clothing, this church far beyond average , friendly passionate devoted, I would recommend anyone seeking out a new Church , or if this is your first time to come to Mount Pleasant Christian Church. MPCC is a large but friendly church. When we first visited someone showed us around and led us to meet pastor Chris after the service was over. There are people to greet you and answer your questions at the doors and information desk. This church has sound biblical teaching and wonderful worship music. There is so much going on that everyone can find a place to fit in and get involved. This is really a caring church that gives back to the community and world in so many ways. We found our nitch volunteering at the Impact Center which is a food and clothing pantry. Getting involved or joining a small group helps this church to feel smaller and more personal.
Don't let the size scare you away, give MPPC a try.

MPCC is great. My wife and I were looking for a church when we moved to Greenwood a little over a year ago and quickly settled in here. The people are very welcoming and the worship team is outstanding. For children, their Bibleopolis program is great. Our kids (2 and 5) absolutely love attending each week. We're very happy to have joined the MPCC family.

We had a wonderful Women's Conference today!! Scott Swan gave a very inspirational God-filled presentation! Plus several ladies from the church gave testimonies and Bible studies! What a great day!

5 star because their great, friendly & Their honest & kind, I wish Iived closer so I could be able to attend their church, even if you're not church going, you'll wanna be there. They're that great.

I love this church and everything about it. It's a fairly big church with big church resources, but it has a small church feel. I came from a mega church and was skeptical at first, but after being here a few times, I knew it was for me. Now I can't get enough of it. #luvwhole

I love their programs for young children! We have really enjoyed them :) so many great teachers!!

Great church, growing and lots of ways to get involved. I sort of wish I had found this church sooner, but God has His plans and ways.

Beautiful big church always friendly i used to clean the church and close up at night, you felt safe the Southport police always monitored the facility ...I sure do miss the place.

Preaching is excellent and based completely on the sole inerrant Word of God. A great Church Family and a focus on reaching the lost and shepherding the saved.

I’m very impressed with the selection of the good food and how blessed I’m with de devotional.
