This is a very highly recommended place. First, the bike trail is connected from Clearwater park to Pre's trail, and if you walk through the trees through the gravel and dirt road that feels like an an grove, it's a beautiful place to be distracted by the sound of water and birds of the cost Fork Willamette River, a fantastic place to walk and relax on a sunny bright day. I'm going for a walk with my dog here almost every day these days.

Great fun unique place! This is a lot like an Old Homestead and walking through all the Orchards during different times of the year makes this place feel new and different every time. There are roads that can be walked on through the orchards. And there are paths that can be walked on through the old growth woods. On the upper parking lot of Doris Ranch, there is a paved path that goes all along the Southside of the river for roughly 8 miles.? My husband and I rode from the disc golf location all the way to Doris Ranch. It is fun to watch all the ground squirrels collecting hazelnuts. This Ranch is located in the same Valley that I-5 is going through so you can hear I-5 traffic throughout Doris ranch. It is quieter in the forest.

Such a wonderful place to visit. Walking trails galore. Rustic barnery and public restrooms (huge plus). Picnic tables and places to bike, hike and explore for a few hours. Good to bring fur baby on a walk on a leash of course.

The bad: Our most recent visit (kids included), we happened upon a terrifying sight. My 3 yr old had to use the potty, so we used the one up top by the parking lot. There was an empty beer bottle on the ground, a pair of black gloves left in the stall and wait for it... actual blood splatter on the ceiling. I sincerely hope that isn't still there. Submitted a call to let park maintenance know about it. Not gonna lie.. it was splattered like what you would see in a slasher film. Very scary.
Other than that, it was a wonderful day. Love to frequent this place on a weather permitting day. Lots of rich history and pretty sights as well. Best part .. it's free. Didn't have to pay for parking even with out of state plates.
Only tip is to maybe call ahead and check if their open as they do sometimes get booked out.

Always a good place to walk your dog or just take walks, Looks like its great place to go for bike rides as well. On Hot Days make sure you bring water for the dog and and your self there are no water features (there used to be)

A great place for hikes year-round. There are paved and gravel trails, historical areas, and info. Great orchards and river trails to walk. And a popular place for photographers to take family/wedding/school etc. photos.

We absolutely love Dorris Ranch. There is so much to discover, great paths, some paved, some dirt and gravel. There are 2 different parking lots. An upper lot by some public bathrooms that is for an all paved path, then the lower that is near the barn and all mulch, dirt, and gravel path. The orchard is amazing and beautiful and the kids love seeing all the fun tractors and love being able to run free down the path. The springtime wild flowers are also stunning.

Doris Ranch is an awesome place to go with enormous amounts of walking possible. You can take your bicycles and obviously definitely your dogs. There's so much land and it's so pretty there. Just make sure you take water for you and the dogs because there's none available on the trails. There is bathrooms they are very clean and family size. Have fun enjoy you might want to take bug spray with you too and sunscreen. Just saying..

Our family loves walking to the river and back. It is a great place for the little ones to stretch their legs and pick flowers. It's also fun to see random dressed up couples and groups around prom season :)

Dorris Ranch park is one of my other favorite areas to walk & explore. It has historic buildings, wood village, barn where classes for children are held. There's a paved trail for walkers & bicyclists which goes to Clearwater Park about 4 miles away. Also there are dirt trails, past the buildings & filbert (hazlenuts) orchards which wind along Willamette River, eventually meeting up with the paved trail. The paved trail parking lot is left just past the gate with bathrooms. Or you can park in the lot just beyond the gate. Pros: paved & dirt trails, multi-use, bathrooms, historic buildings & classes. Cons: paved trail is slightly uphill for few minutes if approaching from Clearwater side.

It seems like you are walking in the mountains when you are here. It is beautiful. I love walking and biking here. A good place to exercise. It is also a good place for picnics. You can bring your dogs with you. But please remember to keep a leash on them. You can take some beautiful pictures here. The park is well maintained. I never see trash on my walks here. Thank you for taking of this place!

Wow, this park is beautiful and the four mile path to Clear Water Park that skirts the river is a fantastic all whether path, good for bikes, strollers, mobility vehicles, walkers and runners. Benches are placed a along the path at wonderful view points. At both ends of the trail are ADA restrooms with flush toilets and a portable restroom at about mid point.
This in town place to experience nature, offers view's of the river and a woodland setting with oak, maple and fir trees, ferns and so much more. We spotted a deer an eagle a snake a fun caterpillar, so much nature.

Beautiful, restorative, lovely, peaceful place to walk. Have a picnic amongst the Filbert Trees. Watch the Hawks, Facons, Bunnies, Squirrels, Chipmunks, Songbird & the Foxes. Listen to & feel one with Nature!!

We had fun bumping around... Maybe next time we'll be there for the living history of the ranch. My wife's grandfather helped plant some of the filbert trees at the ranch, so it was a nice piece of personal history. Fun with the family.! This is somewhere is definitely visit again and recommend to others. It's really a place the whole family can enjoy!

Doris Ranch is a beautiful place to walk among the hazelnut groves. A bit further in, you can walk or bike the McKenzie river trail and access the river.

Mysterious place, feels like another world with all the hazelnut trees all in one place and barely anybody else in there with you. When I went it was soggy and the trails were muddy. You will see many different plants along the path, as well as shelf fungi everywhere.

Beautiful park to walk trails and hike or bike, dogs on leashes, stunning buildings to rent for events. Most popularly weddings and receptions.
There is the lovely Tomseth House, as seen in the photos. Behind that is the Living History buildings. This area is used for field trips and other learning experiences through Willamalane's many children programs.
There is also the rustic and beautiful barn to rent, too. Also featured in photos.
I hope you enjoyed these photographs and come to explore the trails for yourselves soon! It is a must see!

Perhaps the most beautiful riverside walk you have ever taken. Safe, well maintained and uncrowded. If you are looking for an easy access outing, this is an absolute must!
