Powerhouse Automotive and Hans have done great work on all of my vehicles. Friendly, courteous, and fast - even on weekends! Hans keeps me informed of the work progress and recommendations. I highly recommend them for automotive repair and machine work.

PowerHouse Automotive was seriously an answer to prayers for us. My son and I were headed to Utah to spend time with my 89 year old parents. Gratefully we were at the gas station when our car wouldn't start. We called a AAA and the tow truck was there with in 10 minutes. We also called powerhouse and the owner, Hans was kind enough to stop by the gas station and look at it. When we got to his shop he discovered that our starter was out. He also noticed a ton of coolant had spilled over. He got a new cap for us and ordered 2 starters just in case so that we could hurry on our way. They next day Dustin, another worker came in early at 8 am when they are normally closed on Saturday and it was also Labor Day Weekend and very quickly fixed the car. We were on our way again by 9:30 am. It is so refreshing to know that there are kind, honest and hard working people out there that will help you out when you are in need. Also--I have to thank God as well- we could have been stranded in the middle of no where- couldn't have found a part until after Labor Day and also not have found any shop that would help us. My message is expect MIRACLES EVERYDAY and today PowerHouse Automotive was our miracle.

Used Hans and Dustin to repair previous rebuild done poorly. Also various issues relating to drivability were addressed. Excellent quality of work , care taken to ensure no damage to new body and paint and improvement to general operation of 53 year old car addressed. Time frame a bit long (this car not daily driver) due to the amount of work coming through shop. After several months though all work completed to satisfaction. Dustin very experienced mechanic, I would use again.

A friend and I were passing through Oregon on New Years Eve when I-84 shut down due to police activity. AKA, it was going to be a while and we couldn’t drive through the mountains in the dark on icy roads. Great, just what we needed. To top it off, my check engine light starts flashing at me. A misfire. So we’re stuck in the snow in La Grande on New Years Eve and my check engine light is flashing. We called two other places with no answer and then Powerhouse came through. I’m crying to this man saying the check engine light is on and we can’t afford to get stuck when there’s another big snowstorm on the way.

The owner said he could take a look at it and if it was a spark plug issue then he could probably get it taken care of. At 3:00pm on New Years Eve. Everyone there was very nice and super helpful, and a couple days later everything is still completely fixed (so no cheap mechanics doing a temporary fix). I highly recommend them ✅✅

Hans offers quality work with the reassurance of also being a genuine and compassionate human. His customer service is above and beyond any mechanic I’ve ever experienced. I would drive 7hrs to have him diagnose and treat my car. The best in the business!

I went in on a Monday and Hans and I looked at my Toyota Corolla and realized the problem was that the alternator was basically done and had lived it’s life to the fullest. He found a new alternator the same day and installed it within 4 hours. It’s been running great since and it’s already been in for a month. I appreciate Hans and all his great work he’s done. He’s got a pretty cool dog too.

There's a reason Hans has such a great review score! I had a check engine light come on about 30 miles out of town on a Friday afternoon. Hans was the only guy who would take a look at it. (Two others said they were too busy, and that I wouldn't find anyone.) He spent about 30 minutes with me, checking it out, and he gave me great advice to get me on my way again!!!

Powerhouse Automotive recently rebuilt the engine in my vehicle and did an excellent job. The owner Hans accommodated my special requests in regards to the replacement parts and even took ownership of a couple of small problems that were discovered after the repairs were complete and fixed the issues for no additional charge. Thanks for a job well done!

I called at least five shops one day cuz I had a water hose leaking bad and nobody had time for 4 or 5 days to work on my car I called powerhouse he said work aside took my car in on his lunch and fixed it pricing was reasonable and he checked out everything and made sure my car was safe for the road thank you powerhouse

We were traveling through the area & had car problems. They immediately helped us & resolved our issue and got us back on the road.
