New Zone Gallery

Five stars! Especially if you attend during the first Friday Art Walk! I attended the Friday before Halloween costume servers walked the floor with trays of goodies, from Cake to voodoo donuts to cheese cubes, etc. regardless of which day you go, you will find some enticing, original-concept art from local artists, some extremely reasonably priced. During my last visit I picked up an ethereal, matted photograph; a handcrafted mixed media piece. And a mounted piece of driftwood inlaid with dichroic glass all three for under $100. It was insane! Other pieces have heftier price tags for those who can afford them and are stunning. Had my budget been more robust, I'd have walked out with a framed watercolor original, as well. I wish you appy hunting and ogling!

New Zone Gallery makes art accessible to everyone. The space is very inviting and it's exciting to see all the different artworks. Some artists also offer financing for their work, so you can get the piece that speaks to you. The gift shop has affordable prices. Handmade makes it special. New Zone participates in The First Friday Artwalk and it's a wonderful way to view new art. Admission is free.

Very lovely art gallery, went for the First Friday art showing and there was live music throughout and ordurves being offered. The art was beautfiul and from what I understand they don't charge their artists for time their art is up in the gallery (like so many places do), instead they charge a 25% commission for each piece of art sold.
There are pieces for sale in the hundreds to thousands, as well as pieces for sale $40 and under, pieces as low as $5.00 for sale, so a lot of people who may think they are not "wealthy" enough to buy art are able to participate in purchasing themselves art, very nice.

I entered quietly and just looked around and was in awe at the amount of art that everyone in the gallery put out. The pieces were so amazing and thought provoking. I'm someone with a brain thing that makes it so I have no visual imagination except in Very rare cases and when I see pieces like the ones in this gallery, I have flashes of visual mind eye and I love feeling that. I talked with Steve the man sitting up front who I believe runs the gallery and his work was amazing and intricate. I'd gladly come back and I intend to tell my friends about it.

Great variety, very colorful. Sandy was manning the desk and he was very helpful and polite!

I love that there are so many different artists here all the time. The mediums, styles and levels of the artists are so varied. It really keeps you humble and I feel like it helps you to enjoy the art truly as it is, when going to each piece of work to the next. The true spirit of art is alive and kicking here.

This gallery is by far one of the best art galleries I've ever stepped into. The quality of art and the professionalism of the structure of the gallery sets it apart from most. I am grateful that this gallery is avaliable for everyone to come into and enjoy. Thank you Newzone.

This is a co-op for artists and it is a very lively place with some really inventive and accomplished artist as members. The new zone has a party on the first Friday of every month with new art on the walls and artist to talk to.

Never have I ever found a gallery as inclusive and supportive as New Zone. On any trip to this gallery you will see professional artists alongside amateurs and be greeted happily by their staff. I encourage anyone who supports visual art to stop by, leave something in the tip jar, and you will probably find something in your taste and price range.

Great new location. The unjuried shows are particularly impressive. Also lots of inspired original art for sale, pretty unique stuff, excellent at all price levels.

I love the new look--the gallery really is classy. Good variety of artists in a well-lighted space. That being said, it's a shame that Hans' mural on the outside of the building was not included.

Staff are non-invasive and will chat upon request. Amazing art to walk around and view from locals here in Eugene. I do recommend this place if you're into art galleries!
