What a gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay in this beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast. The breakfast was wonderful. The bed was really comfortable, and the room beautifully furnished, right down to the private and spacious bathroom.
The proprietors, Josh and Miriam Bolton are lovely and very welcoming. The location is also a plus, as it is close to the heart of Eugene, with several points of interest and great restaurants nearby.
We look forward to going back again.

I had never been to Eugene, so I wasn't sure where to start on places to stay. Needless to say, the positive reviews here are 10000% correct. The stay was completely:
- Amazing and exciting
- EXTREMELY comfortable, with plush beds and beautifully decorated rooms
- QUIET. I mean pin drop quiet. You will get the best sleep
- the breakfast was DELICIOUS
- private and secluded
- Just a beautiful house and interior
- Miriam and Josh are the absolute best hosts you could ask for

This is a legit review, I will stay here again next time i'm in Eugene. Highly recommend it over a cold, rigid hotel. This places feels like home.

The C'est La Vie Inn was fantastic. We were in the Monet suite - everything was well appointed and comfortable. We were on a long vacation staying at many different places around Oregon and the bed in the Monet suite was probably the most comfortable! The bathroom had much charm and perfectly suited for a traveling couple. We were only able to stay one night; however, the one breakfast we attended was fabulous and the conversation wonderful among the other guests. Very cool exterior - don't forget to check out the grounds and gardens.

I was moving into the neighborhood, but knew I would arrive one day before my furniture. I inquired whether C'est La Vie Inn had a room available and they did! Miriam and Josh welcomed me not only into the neighborhood but also into their beautiful inn to spend my first night in Eugene. The room was absolutely gorgeous, and I loved the bathtub! The bed was comfy and the room had everything I needed. They provided a lot of sweet extra details that enhanced my stay, and the breakfast was really delicious! I would stay here again (if I didn't already live nearby). I can't wait for my family to visit and stay here so I can visit again!

What a fabulous place to stay while in Eugene. My husband and I loved the comfortable place and enjoyed our morning coffee out in the beautiful garden. So relaxing and wow what a great breakfast, handmade by our hosts. The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. We will surely visit here again and I’ll be telling all my friends.

We spent two delightfully restful nights at the C'est La Vie Inn while in Eugene visiting family last weekend. What a surprise to find out that our gracious hosts, Josh and Miriam, were actually the new owners who had purchased the property from Jack and Anne-Marie only last month! Long time neighborhood residents, they had admired the beautiful historic house for years, and when it came up for sale, they jumped at the opportunity to make it theirs. Both my wife and I were very impressed by their natural, easygoing hospitality, attention to detail and knowledge of the area.
Josh took us to the Matisse room, where he had placed a vase of fresh carnations, and showed us the antique soaking tub in the spacious private bath. The king size bed was among the most comfortable we had ever experienced, and was exactly what we needed after a long day of airport aggravation. Our room was immaculate, quiet and decorated tastefully in period style without trying to look like a Victorian antique shop.
Breakfast was sausage and scrambles with crispy hash browns, served with fresh fruit and a muffin. Delicious, and not overly rich.
December in Eugene can be rather cold and damp, so we didn't get to spend much time wandering around the grounds, but from what we could see of the garden plantings, there will be a lot of color come spring. And there's a miniature railroad...

We had a short overnight stay, but were very impressed by the level of the accommodations and friendliness of the staff/owners. The room was very comfortable and had a lovely combination of modern conveniences and era-appropriate ambiance. Jack was so gracious and readily helped me and my husband out of a bind without question (long story :). We will DEFINITELY stay here again the next time we are in Eugene and couldn't recommend it more highly.

C'est La Vie Inn is a magical and perfect place to stay. Josh, the innkeeper, was an amazing host and his breakfasts were to die for. The rooms and gardens were romantic and gorgeous. We loved every minute we were there. We wished we didn't have to leave. Definitely THE place to stay in Eugene.

We stayed here for an anniversary vacation and we really enjoyed our stay! We stayed in the Monet room and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED the claw foot bath tub with the Notre Dame etched window above it. The whole Inn was romantic and beautiful. There's also a game room/library upstairs that had games, puzzles, etc and it had a little balcony that we enjoyed coffee on and it was just perfect! The breakfast (included with the room) was delicious! Not to mention they have a Butler's pantry that always had access to free bottled water, fruit, cookies, coffee, and tea. We'll definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family! It's a wonderful place to stay for a romantic couple's weekend

Finding this inn was a tremendous find! Tucked on a quiet street in Eugene, C’est La Vie is a victorian oasis. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The decor is impeccable down to every detail. Miriam and Josh are engaging inn keepers who truly enjoy meeting new people and showing them warm hospitality. The breakfast uses local in season ingredients and is certainly hearty enough for your days activities. Not to be missed is the stunning garden to welcome you and feel a part of a by gone era. Came for one night. But we will certainly return for any special event. Perfect place for anniversaries!

Josh and Miriam are wonderful hosts. Pleasant, funny, and accommodating. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous, and we just loved learning about the history of the house. Great location, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, the University, wineries, hiking trails, and the coast. Amazing homemade breakfast!

My husband & I were traveling from Sacramento, CA to Portland in mid-February. We were prepared for colder, wetter weather. We stayed two nights in Eugene visiting old friends. My husband randomly selected this small, lovely inn. We were pleased with the property, it's location, our room, the breakfast and the hospitality of the hosts…but we were even more pleased when on our return trip we were stranded by a snow storm on I-5 south of Eugene for >6 hrs.

We called the Ces't La Via inn keepers in hopes they could accommodate us no matter what time we might arrive. Luckily they could! On arrival about 7 pm, exhausted and hungry, we were greeted by the hosts and other stranded drivers. We were offered wine, a simple, delicious meal to share. It was warm, welcoming, and communal.
It was memorable and beyond our expectations.

I give the C'est La Vie Inn (and the inn keepers Josh & Miriam) my highest recommendations.

I stayed here for one night while my daughter performed in a state choir concert. What a wonderful, welcoming, peaceful place! The owners are laid back, friendly, and excellent cooks. The room was so comfortable and relaxed—the bed was amazing and the bathroom had a gorgeous tub for soaking. The garden is quirky and lovely, and the inn is located close to everything. Street parking is ample and free right out front. Forgo the chain hotels and stay here! You won’t regret it!

Really loved our short but charming stay at C'est La Vie Inn! My husband and I were in down to see a show, and we were thrilled to find that they had availability for our weekend and the rates were better than any hotel in the area! The room we stayed in was beautiful, and the sunny, bright ensuite bathroom was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic! Would love to visit again.

C’est La Vie Inn is a beautiful B&B . The owners, Miriam and Joshua go out of their way to make your stay rememberable! The decor is amazing and the food outstanding. There is beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding the property and a model train that runs in the backyard. A fishpond in the front is a great place to relax and have a drink. We were provided with lots of information about Eugene and what is available in the area. Thank you Miriam and Joshua for taking good care of us during our visit! Can’t wait to return for another visit! 💗

I hadn’t had much experience with B and B’s, so I was a bit hesitant to book a room here, but the location was perfect. I was able to walk to my event and not have to worry about parking. Now I’m a B and B convert. It was so much nicer than staying in a motel!!
And....The breakfasts!!! Wow! I had the most delicious French toast. The Innkeepers are delightful. They made sure I was comfortable and felt welcome. Definitely check this place out!!!

I had a wonderful time here! I was traveling from Phoenix to visit the University of Oregon and OSU to look at grad programs, and the C’est La Vie was the perfect place to stay. The location was very convenient and close to the U of O and it was easy to travel from there to OSU in Corvallis. My room was lovely and the breakfasts were delicious! (The blueberry pancakes were my favorite—yum!) Next time I’m in town, I will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay. Excellent service and the room was gorgeous. Entire house and garden were well thought out and tastefully done.
The trip was to take my daughter to visit University of Oregon and Oregon State University for possibly attending in Fall 2019. Found this place on blind internet search and turned out to be a gem.
