Quick service, great selection, small-town friendliness!

This store is big enough to have a good selection of household items, groceries, fresh produce, and an excellent pharmacy while keeping it all wrapped up in a small-town size. A big Box store is just down the road, but you can't beat Al's for the cleanliness and customer service. Perfect stop if you need two things, or two weeks of groceries.

I've been coming to Al's for a couple of years now when I'm in town, and they haven't disappointed yet.

The produce is fresh, the baked goods are fresh baked, the prices are reasonable and the store is laid out so it's easy to shop. They have a large beer and wine selection and my husband and I have fun shopping there together ❤ Kinda like a date 😘

Almost always have exactly what I need. Friendly, helpful employees. A little higher priced than some other stores in town, but worth it for NOT being a soul sucking big box store. Recommend.

Amazing experience. Stopped in Thanksgiving day, the employees all were cheerfully helpful and kind. Love this store. I always stop there whenever I drive up to La Porte.

This is a more high end store. It's hard to shop here for everything you need. I like to buy meat from here when it's on sale. But it's a little bit more expensive than the other stores.

Both of my kiddos celebrated their birthdays with cakes from Al’s bakery this past weekend and we couldn’t be more pleased. They were delicious and perfectly decorated. Everyone in the bakery was friendly and knowledgeable, and the kids were just blown away with the final products. Thank you so much to everyone involved, you made the weekend so special for us.

Love this place one of the best stores still around. I personally use there pharmacy more than anything else. But they do have a lot of good products and the prices are competitive.

Dawna prepared our wedding flowers and they were AMAZING. She was so thoughtful and well prepared. I sent her many pictures of what I would want and she exceeded my expectations! She did all of the bridal bouquets and grooms boutonnieres. She also did the flowers on our wedding cake as well as greenery on the tables. Her team came and set everything up for me so I did not need to stress on my wedding day. It was so beautiful! I would 100% recommend Dawna for your wedding flowers!

Tonya baked our wedding cake and cupcakes and they were delicious! we chose four flavors for cupcakes and one for our two tier wedding cake. We wanted simple and white frosting and it turned out perfect! The frosting of both had sparkles in it as well that made it even cuter than I could have imagined! She came to deliver the cake and set up the flowers on it as well! All of the flavors were delicious! She also lets you do a take-home tasting that was so fun as well and helped a lot!

Solid local grocer, Kroger and Walmart don’t even come close to comparing. You’ll only find fresh produce, beautiful cuts of meat, loads of variety in every category, and friendly smiles. Customer service is top notch. But the absolute best thing about this place? The bakery. Oh my… the cake is to die for. My wife and I had our small wedding cake and a few hundred cupcakes made a few years ago and the process of ordering was personal and intentional. So many flavors to choose from, all tasted from scratch. We continually buy cakes from here. Just last week we bought one of their premade cakes out of the cooler and asked them to write on it for the Dallas Cowboys game and they were so quick to offer to personalize it. Top tier establishment all around. Kudos to the staff.

I only caught one name, Craig, but him and 2 others went out of their way helping me find the item I needed! That was awesome, dinne employees wouldn't bother

Service dog friendly. Handicap parking is usually no problem. Great place to shop. Very friendly staff and costumers. Great selection of products. My preferred choice for grocery shopping.

Store is clean and bright. Prices are a little higher on some items. They carry the same Our Family brand products and are comparable to Martin's Super Market

I really like the clean invirament of the store. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful and Some of the staff don't smile or speak to you other then that the food is very good at the store. The cooked food is very fresh and good. Just wanted to say thank you everyone at the Al's Supermarket in LA Porte.

Friendly & helpful staff, always clean, never a very long wait to check out. Prices are a little higher than a big box chain super store, but I think the quality of meat and produce are better. The selection of products is a bit better quality. Plus, the layout is easier to navigate. The store is moderately sized, (half the size of a super center, maybe smaller) so you can get in, grab your items, and be on your way fairly quickly.
