Kroger

Today at about 1 pm I was there with my 2 month old who was becoming fussy while I was trying to check out at the self check out. The worker (who unfortunately I didn't get his name) came over and scanned and bagged all of my groceries and offered to take them to my car for me as well. He was very kind and I was very grateful for his help. He should be recognized.

This is my favorite grocery store! I only go here for groceries, unless it's a small thing in another store. The reason I love it so much is their in-store and digital savings, as well as their rewards card that gives you fuel points and save money on gas. Hands down, Love it!!!

Brought my baby with me into the store today and all of the employees were so helpful! They helped me get things from high shelves and load up my car.

Great place to shop for deals. Buy one get one on meat is always a good find. Check the app for the latest info and get points to save on gas at their fuel center. Points cand be added when tou pick up prescriptions as well. If you forget to put in your member number you can go to the service desk and they will give you the amount back you would have gotten on the sale prices. Dont forget to add a charity to your members card and they will automatically donate to that charity when you shop there. Meals on Wheels could always use an extra donation!

Good prices and good for a quick trip

Love shopping here! Hands down, it’s better than Michigan City’s Meijer. Wonderful produce and their meat selection, quality and prices are, thus far, the best around. I’ve been shopping here for the past 15 years and have always been excited about the sales. Not sure if it was an off week but, the last time I was there there were absolutely no sales in the meat department and limited sales throughout the store. I’m hoping this was an isolated incident because their amazing sales are what brings me back time and time again.

Updated 9/25: Give Gloria a raise as well! I hope you guys know that having a conversation and being friendly and kind is a rare thing in employees. I hope you appreciate her!

The ONLY reason I am giving 5 stars is because of DANTE. Every single time I walk in the store he is smiling and kind and so incredibly helpful. You don’t have a single employee who has greeted me every time or been that nice and helpful, when I can’t find something. Give the man all the praise and kudos (and a heck of a raise).

In the past I’ve encountered some pretty rude people and employees in this Kroger. This morning I stopped in for a few items and had a very good experience, 3 very nice and helpful employees, the BEST being Toni in the deli, she was extremely helpful, and a delight to talk to, very friendly and genuinely a GOOD person ( I’m normally 99% right just by looking at a person if they’re good or bad) Toni is a GEM!! She should definitely be commended for her excellent customer service skills. Thanks to Toni I left with a smile (under my mask). Thanks again for a great experience!!

Always feel like this is the best option in town. The staff is usually very helpful and the items I'm looking for are almost always in stock. I always use the online card coupons with the sale price and can typically save $15 to $25 on a smaller shopping trip. I use self checkout mostly and it's simple and the new scanners are great.

Best grocery store around town! Happy to be able to shop here knowing that the customers are treated with kindness! The bakery is always delicious and fresh. The fruits and veggies are local. Meat department is fantastic. The employee's go above and beyond to help you and your family with your grocery shopping.

I have been grocery shopping at Kroger's for decades and the people are great. What keeps me coming back time and time again is Mike A. meat department manager and head butcher. Mike's passion towards his customers is exceptional and his talents when it comes to cutting meat is perfect. If you ever have a chance to shop at Kroger's in LaPorte consider yourself to be fortunate for it's a great place for all your culinary needs.

Kroger does a phenomenal job of stocking a wide variety of foods and brands at decent prices. It's a very cost competitive place to shop for your groceries while finding new an interesting foods to try. I love the bakery selections, but find the deli options and quality aren't quite up to par. I love the fact that I can stop in and go to the self-checkout quickly.

Good selections. I love pick up. Drive up, park and they bring the groceries to the car and load them. Now I don't have to drag my O2 tank around.

Some of the sales are excellent. That's when I visit. I'm roughly 30ish min to the west

Nice store to shop at. Prices are a little higher but they have a good bakery and deli dept.

Kroger has good food & pricing

Never a bad experience, if they don't have a product you want if you ask they usually get it. Kudos to the produce dept. Always a good selection and fresh.

Kroger has an great selection of foods outside of the typical American norm. They carry Asian bean paste, Vegetarian proteins, and excellent olive bar selections all on top of first class service and your usual American fare. It is a huge plus for me that their employees can choose to enjoy the benefits of being union members...HUGE PLUS!!!

Love the deals! A great selection of foods and the best part is their plus membership. Buy groceries from them and save on gas! This is my number one shopping place. I love it.
