It's a beutiful view and a fun place to climb

Best outdoor climbing for miles around. Remember pack it in, pack it out and pick up any light litter you see. Be cautious of bats while climbing, sometimes they chill in/around the cracks.

It was beautiful and a good walk to go through stairs. Some free parking spaces right in front of it !

Climbed with my Rockclimbing 1 class from OSU. Very fun and lots of variety of routes. Had to set up top ropes from top of columns, there is a walking trail up to top so that you don’t have to lead climb up. Great for experienced and beginner climbers

What a special place. I come here to run laps on the wide variety of crack climbs and eliminates. Perfect crag for top rope soloing.

We drove to the overlook at the top of the butte and hiked down the trail that leads to The Columns. It was a great hike with awesome vistas of Eugene. Several climbers were practicing their technique on the rocks while we were there. We chose the pathway that leads up and to the right when hiking back up from The Columns. It’s a more strenuous route but gets you back to your car quicker.

This is an incredible rock formation just about as close to downtown Eugene as you can get. Plenty of anchors at the top for redundant protection on most climbs. A lot of people also trad climb the cracks. It can get busy though, so you won't always be able to do the climb that you prefer right away but most folks are pretty nice about sharing the formation.

I’m not a climber and have never climbed here, but this side of Skinner’s Butte has a new hiking trail they recently added as well as a nice, challenging wooden vertical staircase one can climb to get to the picnic benches at the top. A great, less-traveled path to walk and run on!

This place is awesome! I love it hear during the spring and summer.

Great for climbing. They do have a board that has the info on level of difficulty but make sure to bring all your harnesses, rope and helmet. Some part of the rock is slippery and damp.

Cool spot for outdoor climbing. The pictures make it look bigger than it is in real life though.

Very nice place to take photos or to rock climb.

This place was really cool. Unfortunately there were some interesting vagrants sleeping around the trail. If you go keep in mind you could encounter someone sleeping or camped out.
