Downtown Inn

This review has been a long time coming and I wasn’t able to write it until now. I was under a major medical emergency back in June 2023 and Henry was soooo very kind to me and sooo very patient. I was a wreck and in such pain. I made several calls to him trying to work through the timeframe of the emergency and needed a place that evening. He was calm and informative. Checkin was a breeze. The room was very clean, neat and odor free and quiet. The bathroom was clean and had nice amenities and a bathtub matt. Towels were clean and white. Bedding clean. Comfy beds and pillows. Also had TV, desk, a refrigerator. Simple and nice. We stayed the night and headed south 170 miles to the next emergency facility. Two days later we headed back to Eugene and stayed again at the Downtown Inn and Henry gave us the same room. The grounds were clean with no trash or cigarette butts. This place is truly a pride of ownership and I strongly recommend you stay here. Thank you Henry. ☀

This is a great place to stay while visiting Eugene! The rooms are clean and have a bed, desk, table, small fridge, and TV on a dresser. There are also amenities like an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body lotion. The grounds are clean and the staff is friendly! It was easy to make reservations by phone and everything was ready with our room when we arrived. Check out was a breeze! There is also a coffee shop a half block away.

I booked a room at the downtown Inn and then we had the ice storm of January 2024 and they changed my non-changeable reservation to the next night hoping for the best but the conditions did not improve so they did not charge me for the room because I couldn’t get there These people are wonderful I highly recommend you stay here top-notch service

Having never stayed here before I would definitely stay here again. Easy to find, plenty of parking and the room I stayed in was super clean and I slept well. Plenty of restaurants in the area that you can walk to and the owner is very nice.

Located with easy access to the freeway. Room was clean and comfortable. Fast and friendly check in and reasonable rates. They offered a few free breakfast items as well, we didn't eat there, and the coffee was too weak to drink. Tried the Starbucks next door a couple times but service and hours were iffy, if you're a coffee drinker good luck! Didn't take away from our rating at all and we'd stay there again happily.

Best value in Eugene- sure you could pay twice as much, but you are not going to find a cleaner, quieter, better-provisioned room. Downtown Inn exceeded every expectation. The room was so comfortable and had absolutely everything any traveler would need or want. This is where I will always stay when in Eugene. And the staff is professional, polite, and helpful.

Room was super clean, beds were plush & comfortable, bedding was crisp & clean with multiple pillow options. Clearly our room had been recently updated. Carpet, tile flooring, sink, faucet, toilet & tub all looked new. Outside was equally neat & tidy. Covered sidewalk in front of all the rooms was super clean with a fresh coat of paint. Location is top notch. Starbucks is literally right next door and there are tons of great food options on Broadway just a short walk away. I seriously doubt there's a better place in town at this price point.

This is not a fancy hotel. It is a clean, safe, and friendly hotel. The owner matched the lower price I found on line. He and his wife work very hard to maintain the property. There are benches outside each room and a nice selection of books to enjoy. The breakfast has a nice variety of fruit, pastries, and other goodies. The 8ce machine was also very clean. If you want a fancy hotel, pay the price and go. For the money, this is excellent!

Just completed a 10 night stay at the Downtown Inn - in Eugene for the World Athletics Championship. Henry and his wife (the owners) were very accommodating of our group! The rooms were extremely clean. Breakfasts were really good, too. It's located less than 2 blocks from an EMX bus station (with frequent service), and right across the street from a decent 24 hour convenience store - in case you need anything! I'll definitely stay at Downtown Inn the next time I'm in Eugene!

The room was great a basic room but well decorated the room was clean the property was also clean and everything had been well taken care of. Even the towels were decent towels soft and big enough for your body. The staff was wonderful very nice even joked around a little bit which was wonderful especially after a long day of travel. I would highly recommend anybody to come to this hotel.

I've stayed at Downtown Inn several times over the years (since 2019) and I've never been disappointed. Hosts are friendly and professional. Check-i was a breeze. The room was clean, pleasant and surprisingly quiet given that the location is on the "main drag" of Eugene. Highly recommend.

Called ahead on the phone to book and they matched and went even offered lower than the online price when booking the same day. Place was clean, and the tub was big enough for even a big guy like me to relax in! Only thing to note, some of the rooms have a big step in front of the door, so if you have a mobility issues, drive up does not mean accessible. The manager was super nice though and you should be able to ask for a room that can work.

Proprietors are welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
Rooms are clean and have microwave, refrigerator, sinks outside the bathroom, HDTV, wifi, two chairs, comfy beds, etc.
Close to downtown Eugene, on foot or by bus.
Breakfast (although not always available; we were on a tour so it was provided) was excellent.

The staff happily accommodated my arrival three hours before the official check-in time. The room seemed newly renovated with fresh paint, nice furniture/carpet, a solid HD TV, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious and clean. It's a roadside motel with some traffic noise, but the staff and interior renovations exceeded my expectations. Convenient location, friendly staff, fresh rooms, and great prices.

We just needed a place to stop and drop for a little while and we found it pleasantly cozy very very clean newly renovated, continental breakfast, accommodating. Very comfortable beds too, I'm good choices of TV including the crazy stuff you see out front on the streets of Eugene. It was fun

Clean, convenient and secure location in down town area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.

Very nice rooms and staff everything was clean and well taken care of. Even helped get a taxi for a 3am flight.

Very impressed with this hotel. The location lends itself to being anything but nice...But wow! Great price, clean room, nicely upgraded, newly paved parking lot, upgraded bathrooms, safe and quiet. Nice Continental breakfast. The staff was very polite and accomdating. I would recommend anyone to check this place first.

The hotel staff are so nice they even flagged me down as I was getting ready to drive out of the parking lot because they found a pair of my earrings left on the end table!

Free continental breakfast and within walking distance of downtown hot spots.

Would stay again! Only they don't have a coffee pot in the room. But within walking distance of coffee shops.
