I've not spent as much time in Eugene recently as I had the previous two decades, but I'd say The Wheel Apizza Pub has fortified its ranks amongst the top two or three pizza places I've eaten at in Eugene. To me, the more adult atmosphere (though, not lacking kid-friendliness) is more appealing than the competitors, and the pizza is phenomenal.

I highly recommend getting a pie from here!

I've been a big fan of The Wheel ever since they opened. Really nice pies, less crispy than someone might expect for New Haven Apizza but still quite delicious. The smoked wings are great, and the smoked cauliflower is also delicious for a vegetarian option! Their seasonal veggie sides are also lovely.

I also really love their beer program. They serve a wide variety of styles: IPA, Stouts, various Lagers, Sours, and more! Try their Continuum series of Brett Ales for some funk, or a Nitro offering for a smoother, creamier beer. They do amazing work!

Delicious! The parking lot leaves some to be desired, but the food is good and quite expensive, but it's just so good. The crust, sauce, cheese, toppings... Everything is great. Easily a 5.

Really nice pizza joint. I was only in town for the day and the positive reviews led me here for pizza, football, and a beer. Only one TV at the bar so you don't get to see all of the action but it was still nice. Really good pizza and beer. Not exactly New Haven style but still good. Pay attention to the sign near the register because they do sell smaller portions of pizza during the day vs the whole pie.

Really close to Skinner Butte so you can go walk some of the pizza and beer off afterwards.

Flat out great pizza. We had the meatball and veggie pizzas and they were both delicous. Everyone was really friendly and it was a nice brewery atmosphere.

Really tasty! You order everything at the bar and so the service is just food delivery but everything was good and the folks are very friendly.

Their sour was very good if that’s your think! The pear and garlic pizza was awesome! Piled with arugula/balsamic in the middle as a garnish was so perfect!

Buffalo Wings were well cooked and the buffalo cauliflower was good but either were hot. They serve with ranch as a default.. not sure if blue cheese was an option.

Bathrooms were clean.

Vibe was good and a great place to stop by after hiking the butte!

The pizza is always amazing whenever we visit. My favorite is the Margherita, but their other selections are delicious as well. Service is amazing. Staff is delightful to talk to. They have a small selection of microbrews and wine available. Their beer selection is always changing which is fun if you like variety. Never a bad time here.

I'm so happy to have found the Wheel Apizza Pub. Everyone in our party enjoyed the housemade soda and beer options. The crust on the pizza was delicious! Crispy and chewy and cooked to perfection! Excited to personalize some pizzas the next time we go.

Great new brewpub in Eugene. Excellent beers on tap. Pizza is thin crust and really delish! Staff is friendly and food was up pretty fast. A lively vibe and fun place to meet friends for a brew and pizza!

Outstanding apizza and beer in a historical building with a view of Skinners Butte which completes the excellent atmosphere. Top notch service too.

Edit: oh and did I mention that Brandon rules? Buy beer from him almost every week at the Farmers’ Market and he keeps me up to date the goings on. Remodel is epic and La Vida Paloma is still a fav. Keep on keeping on. You guys rocks!

Best of Eugene.

So, The Wheel is the homiest little bourgeois pizza joint in Eugene. The prices may drive away the tenuously-financed, but they should save up.

It is possible, however unlikely, that everyone who works here is awesome.

Vibes from the open kitchen are wildly positive, where laughter is common. Bar-minding Montanan sisters Audrey and Sophia are competent, open and hilarious in ways that belie their years.

The beers on tap are uniformly excellent.

An especially unique offering, “Moonglow — A Brett Solera Project” is exemplary in spite of it’s pretentious name.

The wood finished floors, paneling, beam rafters, and countertops are beautiful and embrace the PNW aesthetic ethos effortlessly.

They have the largest version of the Allen Cartography map of Oregon available, the 4’x5’, on the wall.

They have a vintage Wilco poster made just for their trip to Eugene in 2012.

They have, by the bar, a giant blowup of a 1982 dance party in the parking lot of the Oregon Country Fair on a year when the Grateful Dead showed up for the weekend.

They have Wildcraft cider and craft sodas and exciting, beautiful cocktails that aren’t rushed at expense of perfection.

Please believe!

And attend.

Best of Eugene.

My favorite pizza place in Eugene! The recent remodel seems to have tripled the indoor seating.
The regular menu items are tasty. However, I think the ever-changing seasonally focused creations are the best! So, you might find something special with each visit.
The naturally leavened crust has a good "chew" without being overly doughy.
The salads are delicious and not your normal mix of flavors. They use quality ingredients (often locally sourced).
Their house brewed beers are great!
Also, the people are friendly and fun!

Everything about this place was perfect. Hands down the best pizza dough I've ever eaten. Original flavor options. Buy a slice or a pie. House made sodas were so delicious! Music was lovely. Large open area, beautiful decor, comfortable atmosphere. Absolutely recommend this place.

The dough is an absolute dream come true, seriously!

Sourdough based, stands up well to the sauce, complements all the toppings.. man, it's amazing! The fact that they respect the craft enough to ferment the dough is further proof that they truly love what they do.

If you haven't tried it, go now!

Great beer, specials, cocktails, salads, meatballs, etc. Love the atmosphere and the friendly service, too. Perfect across the board! 🤠

One of the best pizza I had in the US so far! Same quality and awesomeness as the American Flatbread in Burlington, VT.
The beer was great too, very creative!

Great food, friendly staff. We got the Longbridge Hacker pizza. I liked the thin crust. We also got the special salad which had beets, grapefruit, almonds, and fennel. Light and delicious. Great beer selection as well. Liked the roll up garage door so we could be covered indoors but still feel like there was lots of fresh air circulating through. Solid spot.

This place was incredible. Open, bright and clean dining room. Employees were extremely helpful.

We had the Meatball Pizza minus the Calabria sauce, add Mama Lills Peppers and Basil. Perfection!

Beer was also delightful! We'll be back.

Super friendly staff. Large and roomy place with lots of seating, very comfortable. Great food, some excellent vegetarian options. Craft beer brewed on site. Haze 4 Daze is my fave.
