Lane Community College

It’s such a beautiful little campus. I enrolled as a first year student. Needless to say I’ve needed some help getting my ducks in a row. Everyone I have interacted with has been super friendly, polite, and most importantly helpful. I am pleased to say I am more try an excited to be blessed enough to go here. I intend to transfer, which has been welcomed. People didn’t discourage me in order to get as much money out of me as possible. I got phenomenal answers to all my questions.

Just got my motorcycle endorsement there! The instructors were awesome, very knowledgeable on writing safely and answering any questions and novice might have.
I highly suggest it for people that have yet to write a motorcycle and for people that already have a motorcycle license take these classes they will save your life!

I absolutely love this college. After taking a 2 year break, I started at LCC this January to get a transfer degree to U of O. They have amazing professors, and counselors who really advocate for you. I’ve had the best science teacher of my life at this school and they really care about you and your success. They also are perfect to get a transfer degree to U of O. They will walk you through everything and tell you what classes to take that the university will accept. It is a relief to know all the credits I’m taking can be transferred.

I got my GED at the downtown location. Kevin was the best teacher, he’s so patient and goes at the classes pace. You could tell that he’s passionate about teaching. Originally I only wanted to get a certificate from lane and he inspired me to go the distance and get a degree by simply believing I was smart enough to do it.

The dental hygiene program is professionally ran by instructors that personally seek your success and completion. This has been the best college experience with the most sincere instructors. I currently hold a bachelor's degree and went back to school get certified in dental hygiene and I couldn't be more happy!!!

I really enjoyed my time as a student at Lane during the early 2000s. I gained the confidence and knowledge I needed to be a successful transfer student at the UO. Recently I had the opportunity to visit the campus and I was disappointed by the changes that have been made to the student services in building. If I were a new student I would be totally confused by where I needed to get counseling and and advising. Everything has been spread out over campus. I really don't understand why it needed to change.

Lane has a great community with much diversity. It is a great place to knock out prerequisites for students looking to transfer on to a university, as well as a wonderful school to begin discovering what you might be interested in. Lane has a wonderful spectrum of classes, from auto mechanic classes to dance! Speaking of dance, their dance program is one of the best dance programs in Oregon, with remarkable instructors, lovely studio spaces, and ambitious dance students. One will never regret trying out a dance class at Lane (I recommend hip-hop and modern 1)

Continue to be impressed with folks at LCC, especially IT services. Always helpful, engaged, respectful and enjoyable. Through in service and Gracious in their welcome. This is what Excellence looks and feels like! As always, LCC, thank you.

I had a great experience at Lane. I went through the TRiO program. If you are a frst generation college student, I highly recommend this program. A lot of the reviews seem to dislike navigating the college system. The people are TRiO can be your advocate and help you make it through the maze.

I am now at Portland State. I owe this experience to Lane. It was an important stepping stone.

This is a great community college to attend. The staff members amazing. My daughter graduates this week from there and it has been a great experience for her.

Lane Community College does have its downs and ups but for everyone who is rather negative towards it just remember:
1: this college is not funded enough to have the staff that is needed
2: for the tweeker comments, this is a community college, not Disney land
3: i'm surprised that no one is being extremely grateful to the faculty, staff, student government and others for actually making this a functioning school for you to attend and get a education that you could benefit from.
4: join a club. you might learn something...

I don't understand all the negativity in the previous reviews I have read, but for myself personally I am enjoying every minute of it. I love the diversity and the chance to learn and meet cool people..I'm having a great time and learning new things, and meeting cool people that are trying to improve their lives...

Best experience for an art student! Compared to the u of o the art department here is vastly superior and has the most passionate and amazing teachers

Got first Covid vaccination there today. Easy access, well organized by County Health Dept. Excellent use of facility.

I love this college. The athletics are amazing, the classes are great and most all of the professors would do anything to help you succeed.

Great School. Really nice campus that is easy to find your way around and people are very friendly.
