Can't imagine a bad review here! What a lovely setting in downtown Anderson. Quaint and comfy. The food are Top Chef worthy. Creamy chicken soup that makes you desire more and more. This soup could be the next flu remedy! Satin smooth and bursting with rich flavor. The Cashew Chicken salad is nearly nose to nose to the finishing line with the Creamy Chicken Soup! Delicious! Served on a soft, buttery croissant. Out of this world. I now have a confession... I do not like fruit served with a meal. It usually turns out to be over or under ripened yuck with a heavy sticky syrup. Mind you I Am just not a fruit girl. BUT THIS SIDE OF FRESH FRUIT WAS THE BOMB! It was REALLY fresh fruit of all kinds! Not mushy, not sticky, not hard. PERFECT! They serve it with a healthy side of mystery-top secret fruit dip. THIS WAS THE SECOND BOMB!!! Took it right over the top! The server shared that folks come in to buy a container of their fruit dip To take home. I can fully believe it!!!!
Don't forget that this place is ON THE PIE TRAIL!!! I had the Tollhouse Walnut pie. It came warm with ice cream and topped with whip cream. A+ and like everything else, homemade!
This is worth a visit as soon as possible! Don't delay. Make it a priority in life. They close at 3pm so come for lunch and enjoy. Staff is amazing. Prices are reasonable and you leave well fed with quality, fresh ingredients.

I ordered the cashew chicken salad on a croissant and the chicken velvet soup combo. It was the best soups I've ever tried and the sandwich was equally amazing!! Perfect portion size and didn't skimp on the chicken salad at all. I'll definitely be back, just wish the hours were longer due to me living an hour away. I'm so glad my coworker recommended me to try this establishment!! Kudos

I had no idea what at I was getting myself into. The food is top notch. It's really great to see small, lunch only places thriving. The keto desserts really set them apart. I had the velvet soup and a hot brown. The hot brown had a great depth of flavor compared to others I've had in the past. My husband got the pork tenderloin. He didn't like the coating but I loved it- it's light and fluffy. It resembles a tempura batter- almost reminds me of the coating on soft crab sandwiches from Maryland. We felt very welcome as older couples, business men and other families dinned. The little shop is lovely too. There was a wait, so don't expect a pronto lunch, but it was well worth it. If you're famished, order dessert from the case first and eat it while awaiting your entree.

Just had lunch there for the first time and it was STELLAR! I've been hearing about this restaurant and have been wanting to try it out for about a year now and I finally was able to make it in and I was definitely pleased. The inside is super cozy, the staff is super nice, and that chicken velvet soup is to DIE FOR! I will definitely be going back again soon!

Was very happy we went even though name and decor a bit frilly for me. The tea was good and food was great. Loved the Velvet Chicken Soup though I'm not usually a soup person. I'm looking forward to trying more of menu soon.

One of the best breaded pork tenderloins I have ever had.....and I am a fat guy so I know my pork. The pea salad reminded me of my grandmothers recipe. Love this place. Wish they were open longer hours but that is my only complaint.

We are long time customers of this restaurant even though we have moved to another town. I hesitate to tell you how good the food is and how consistent the food and service is because everyone will want to come here and it will be even busier than it is now, however they are truly the best and have remained so for a decade or more that I know of. It is not health food. It it is always delicious. Pea salad, chicken salad on a buttery flaky croissant, taco salad that is just plain savory. And deserts to die for.
But the price is reasonable, the iced tea is exactly right, the service is prompt and friendly, and even when it is busy the wait times are negligible! Please don’t tell anyone else because we want this anderson gem to remain unchanged and not too busy.

A lovely little restaurant in Anderson, IN. A rustic and homely atmosphere and aesthetic. I enjoyed the half pound burger, homemade, and my wife enjoyed the taco salad, which I stole a few bites from and really enjoyed. I can't wait to come back and enjoy the desserts that change daily.

Small family owned restaurant with excellent food and service!! It has a small menu, but one that has something for everyone. Wonderful desserts too! If you are looking for a unique place to eat with delicious food, you will love Cabbage Rose.

Amazing little place tucked away on meridian down town. Food was delicious and service made you feel like family. Must visit if passing through down town. Great biscuits and gravy but breakfast is Saturday only right now

My lunch was a true pleasure. The restaurant itself was clean, it's decor creative an appropriate, and the light jazz music provided an excellent accompaniment. For lunch I had the patty melt, which was served still steaming from the grill. The meat was juicy and cooked just right, the caramelized red onions sweet and still slightly crunchy. For my side I ordered their pea-salad which was my favorite part of the meal. The peas were crisp, the celery crunchy and the dressing perfectly sweet. My only disappointment was the lack of a fruit pie option for dessert, but I am sure that was just an accident of the day and season. Will certainly return.

Amazing food! The staff is so sweet and nice! The keto food is out of this world. You would never know the dessert is sugar free!

If you are looking for great homemade food and excellent service, then this is your place. Everything from the chicken velvet soup to their freshly made desserts, I've never been disappointed.

The Island Chicken Wrap was delicious!! Definitely looking forward to trying other items on the menu. Trust me, it is worth the wait time!!

Cabbage Rose Eatery has the best food in town, home made fresh every day. I've eaten there quite often and have never been disappointed--in the food or the staff.
