Well you can end your online search right here. I was concerned for these very reasons when I moved to Oregon twelve years ago, not knowing any mechanics in the area. So I asked a friend for a recommendation on a local shop and she referred me to Jason, the owner of Marion Auto Service.

He runs a small operation but always, and I mean always finds time to get you in within a day or so. And his work is outstanding- my car has run like a top after every one of his repairs. His fees are very reasonable, he's super personable and professional, and because he's been so good to me for over a decade, I will not even think about taking my car anywhere else. Jason is one of those talented mechanics you know you can trust with your vehicle AND your hard-earned money.

Again, he runs a small outfit so maybe that's why he doesn't have a ton of reviews. But because he's so talented, trustworthy, and fast is why he has five out of five stars. He's the best!

Jason is amazing, great service at a really good price and came out to pick me up to get the car back in the end. Just give him like a month's notice, he's booked solid.

I needed a high pressure power steering hose for my Powerstroke

Steve made up a custom made fitting near pump that won't wear out and leak..he made the hose so that it connected in middle so one could fasten hoses at pump and gearbox first then tighten hose with fittings in the middle for easy installation

Went in needing help to figure out how to make my radiator from Pick-A-Part work since the oil cooler hookups were wrong. The mechanic was very inquisitive and helpful. Told me if I brought the radiator in with the lines he'd figure something out, but he ended up calling around and found a brand new one for me for far less than the $400 price tag AutoZone wanted. Thumbs up to him. :)
