Dr. Brian T. Hyatt, MD

Dr. Hyatt has already made a huge difference in my wellbeing! He has a calm and confident demeanor, and incredible knowledge of complex conditions and medication management. He takes a balanced approach to managing conditions and he's helping me achieve long-term goals for a healthy and balanced life. I'm excited to keep working with Dr. Hyatt and his team.

Dr. Hyatt and his staff are truly awesome. Their office is very friendly, relaxed and welcoming...snacks, drinks, magazines, and great people available if you need anything, although I rarely have had to wait long. The staff is approachable and happy to answer questions, and Dr. Hyatt himself is as cool as they come. His office doesn't look like the traditional office, there are even old school arcade games to play, if that is your thing. He doesn't wear the traditional white doctors coat, he puts his own style and flair on everything, which seems not at all forced or over the top, is still professional and well put together. He doesn't make you feel rushed, he listens, gives good advice, treats you with respect and genuinely wants you to be happy (not just with your experience with him/his office but in life). I would strongly recommend anyone to schedule an appointment with him. If I had a teenager I wanted to take somewhere, it would be an easy decision to come here.

He takes a lot of time to listen and tells me about himself. Tells me the chemical things about medications too and I have been feeling better ever since!

Dr. Hyatt cares about every single person that walks through his door. He is an absolutely brilliant Doctor and even more importantly a wonderful human being. If you've been looking for the best, your search can stop here!

I consider myself in a position to give an accurate evaluation of psychiatrist. Dr. Hyatt knows his medicine, he knows diagnosis and the man seems to have an incredible eye for behaviors otherwise unseen. I for one appreciate the hell out of you dr. Hyatt. James Nettles

Under the supervision and direct care of him I was medically gaslit severely and misdiagnosed with ICD for something I didn't even do. All of what you read about him at Northwest Medical Center is true, I went through it and more. He made me look like a joke in my medical records, saying I was manipulative (classic BPD patient tactic when not getting what you want) despite everything I said being true, as they illegally restrained me for something my roomate did, and what she did was legally not warranted of a restraint in the first place. He also let staff take my wheelchair but continued to put in my records that I had one. He committed many counts of fraud on my paperwork alone, in addition to the physical and emotional abuse I went through.

My daughter was held against her will in the springdale facility. She was repeatedly given sedative shots for no reason. We had arranged to move her to a different facility and they refused to let her leave. She now suffers from ptsd because of the poor treatment by him and his staff.

The accusations are no longer accusations. I don’t know this guy nor have I ever been to this clinic. However, based on the videos I saw today, this place needs to be shut down. Shut it down and start over if you are decent. Anyone who associates themself with this individual should reevaluate. Taking advantage of people who are sick for personal financial gain is disgusting. You don’t know the permanent damage you might have caused these individuals. I know he will never see this, but hopefully it prevents one person from ever giving their business to this clinic. Seeing the responses put up on some of these comments is disgusting. Y’all should be ashamed.

You're a liar and an idiot. And SHAME on you for being a douche bag with a medical degree. I'm really sick of seeing disgusting greedy people from Arkansas make headlines. As a military member no longer living in NWA I hope they make an example out of you and you rot in prison for many years...

Hyatt over here has basically gaslit people who accuse him of all sorts of things, including in these reviews in response to criticism. To be honest, I've been and currently am still a patient at their clinic, although I rarely if ever see the guy since he's just a name for medicine and not really interactive. Most businesses are starting to refuse service if his name shows up. This would be because he's currently being charged with insurance fraud and a slew of horrific malpractice charges. He's even stepped down as chairman. Let that be a good example of what this guy is all about.

My partner is being kept in treatment against her will after a voluntary evaluation because of this crooked dr. She no longer wants his medical help and has requested a transfer to another facility and they refuse. It's very very obvious that this is a money making scheme, if it wasn't this wouldn't be an issue. My partner no longer trusts the mental health system in nw arkansas because of this man. She has already stated if her mental health fails again she would rather live on the streets broken(again) than risk being held there and treated like an inmate. She was afraid to ask the staff when she could leave because she was afraid to get into trouble, nobody should fear getting into trouble when they are seeking help, this facility does not create a safe nurturing atmosphere, they treat the people in there like problems not patients. There is a room in the Springdale facility with electroshock devices, a table to strap patients onto and no cameras. .. need I say more

Edit: she was released after 14 days and was a very different person, she just had communication and anger issues before, she came out acting crazy. She keeps disassociating and having horrible anxiety at every little situation. When she tried to get her prescriptions from this facility filled the dr denied them when the pharmacy contacted them. She was checked into another facility 9 days later. She was told she was improperly medicated. She has horrible ptsd because of these events

My son is way worse mentally, after his treatment with Dr. Hyatt.

Mean doctor. Told my boyfriend he wouldn’t graduate college. And took away his phone privileges! Oh and be careful not to speak, because he probably will not like your tone, and have you injected with Thorazine. It really is quite frightening the number of injections he orders, while not really knowing a single thing about any of the patients in his psych ward. All because the doctor has a fragile ego 😒 BTW he graduated 🥳🥳

The most embarrassing doctor I've ever had to deal with. During my appointment with him in September of 2018 he answered his phone on speakerphone and had a conversation with a friend, talking about bringing in a new patient for Dr. Hyatt. During this conversation I could hear the soon to be patient's full name, age and story as to why she needed mental health help. Besides that being a HIPAA violation, it was down right rude. Dr. Hyatt is unprofessional and does not deserve to have a medical license of any kind.

EDIT: 9/30/2020- I just noticed this office's attempt to delegitimize my review of their inappropriate conduct. I am frustrated by their response, as instead of promising to do better or to change their business practices, they chose to state that my experience did not happen. Being in this facility was one of the least therapeutic and most detrimental experiences of my entire life. While I was not directly under the care of this physician, he did see me for one appointment, during which time this egregious act occurred. Please do not go to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale for care. There are numerous concerns that I did not list in my previous review as I was concerned that the staff would try to be aggressive toward me online. This is not a place of care. This is a facility that only cares about receiving payments from insurance providers. Do better than that for our community.

From my experiences at the Behavorial Health Unit at Northwest medical center, I cannot recommend Dr. Hyatt. While there almost every day, he never actually spoke to me. Didn’t give his medical opinion and diagnosis...and kept me on a very basic antidepressant and antipsychotic. He also gave out injections like candy. He won’t actually speak to any of the patients, and allows 30-40 patients in the unit at a time to rack in the profits. For good psychiatric care I would recommend UAMS in Little Rock. Dr. Hyatt cares more about profit than being a good medical provider.

Hyatt is a fraud! He not only scams insurance companies but holds patients against their will!
