Originally booked my campsite for the solar eclipse 2024. Didn't have a whole lot of information about the place but when I got there it's a beautiful Park. It's got a nice big lake. Plenty of hiking trails all around and also they did a fabulous job to celebrate solar eclipse 2024 with events and even some bands and food trucks in the weekend leading up to the eclipse. Great place to go.

Really nice park. Campgrounds were nice some a bit close but ones near lake gives a beautiful view. Enjoyed our stay but a week was not long enough.Beach is really good size with a large bathhouse & store. It's very close to Santa Claus Town.
Planning on staying again next year.

We stayed at Lincoln State Park for five nights. This was during the solar eclipse. The park was in the line of totality for the eclipse. The staff were amazing! The facilities were clean and well maintained. The park is big and well laid out. There is a huge amphitheater at the state park where they have entertainment starting in May each year. This amphitheater is amazing and fairly new. There is lots of history regarding Abraham Lincoln and his family within the park. There is so much to do at the park, and a bonus across the road is the Abraham Lincoln Memorial National Park. We will definitely be visiting Lincoln State Park again.

Always our favorite state park to visit. Plenty of things to do including hiking trails, camping, swimming (summer), nature center with group/kid activities, picnic areas, boats (paddle/canoe), and fishing.

Group cottages are wonderful and they even have air conditioning now. We had a blast and stayed the weekend for less than $100. The cottage we were in sleeps 12! In 2024 that is a GREAT deal and it's beautiful here.

Great park! Bonus the National Lincoln Boyhood park is just across the street.

Some fun trails to walk on, small lake big enough for kayaking, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with our schedule.

We walked around the park and got about 5 miles and the last day we walked over to the National Park from our camp site and back it was 1 mile to the NP, another mile to do the 12 stone hike and then back to camp site for just over 3 miles. They have a great amphitheater so call and get the schedule of events last summer scheduled looked fantastic.

Nice clean cabins. Seem to have new very firm mattresses this year. We stay here about this time every year and this year seemed to be a lot more people visiting the park. Just a heads up. B if there is a concert at the ampatheatre you will hear the music from the family cabins. It is not bad but it is noticeable

A great park for the family. The camp ground looked very nice, although off-season. The beach seemed very large with a nice boardwalk down to the water for wheelchair access. The family had a great time hiking back to the fire tower and climbing to the top. The trail was very nice and easily navigable by my son with some physical disabilities. We will definitely be back!

Really nice dog-friendly park with a beautiful trail around the lake. The Fall Foliage in early November was fantastic. The staff at the Visitor's Center were great and even let us charge our electric car at the empty RV camp sites.

I stayed in the campground during this visit but did drive around the park before departing on my final day. When I arrived late at night, the DNR guys found me and kindly escorted me through the park and campground to my site, which was incredibly helpful after 5 hours of being on the road! As always, Indiana DNR properties are well maintained and beautiful and this one was no exception. Everything was available at advertised and people are friendly. The shower house was in excellent order, thank goodness, considering we had 100 degrees temps. Hope to return and spend more time exploring the park next time.

I went here many times as a child in the '60s. It has not changed but that's not necessarily bad. It is what it is and it also displays a lot of Abraham Lincoln's childhood and young adulthood

and of course his sister's grave

A working pioneer farm and a Museum of Abraham Lincoln’s life and boyhood. In addition, the park has camping a lake for swimming in the summer and cabins available until November.

We enjoyed our visit to Lincoln State Park. It's a beautiful park. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Aaron gave us several great recommendations of things to do. Michael gave us a great private tour of the Colonel Jones Home.

Some of the trails seem nearly unused with the amount of spiders spanning them. There is a bridge that is half rotten and extremely weak which needs repaired on the same trail. Other than that it's a nice spot with a good mix of wildlife. I don't frequent the camp grounds, but it was extremely busy this weekend. Overall, I'd go back to see the rest of the park. I did arrive in the afternoon and had limited daylight available.

Second year in a row coming here. Stay Sunday - Thursday to avoid a full site. There maybe 10 camps here right now. Restrictions are clean and cleaned daily.

It's a shame about the trees getting sick from people bringing their own firewood. I guess bugs hide in the bark. I don't mind getting my wood here to help support the park
