We visited three years ago (so our review is from 2019) but had a fabulous time and still fondly remember our stay here.

Famous for accommodating tourist who come to enjoy the beauty of Mt. Elgon, esp. the mouth watering Sipi falls

This was such an amazing place to stay for a quiet getaway. The lodge is set tastefully by the middle waterfall, which you can see from the large windows of many of the lodges. There are paths where you can walk to the waterfalls, through lush, tropical vegetation. There are many colourful birds you can spot. The rooms themselves are adequately equipped, with hot and cold showers and lovely handmade natural soap.

The food is amazing! English style food, three courses, cooked by a well trained chef. I couldn’t fault it. Everything was perfect - and so tasty. The service is very good with very attentive staff. There was always someone around to ask. I highly recommend a stay in this place. My only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer. But I’m going back, for sure.

My husband and I spent a weekend getaway here and it was lovely!! The cottages offer a relaxed, simple, romantic experience. The daily meals are delicious and we loved the full bar available! The staff is knowledgeable and really friendly. We loved how easy it was to plan daily experiences and how helpful the staff was. We enjoyed the coffee tour, absailing, 360° sunset views, and hiking! We loved it here and can't wait to come back!!!

This place was amazing! The scenery was beyond words, a waterfall was right outside the door to our cottage! The food was excellent and the staff were very kind and friendly!

Amazing view onto the waterfall! In Feb 2020 we spent 2 nights here as a family with 2 little Kids. We loved it! The cottage is fantastic and the view directly towards the waterfall is unique! Restaurant also is very good, the place is clean and of high quality. Eventhough up in the Mountain it gets fairly cold at evenings and wildlife is Not that abundant as in other Nationalparks in Uganda. We can only recommend this place, the price is fair compared to its high standard!

This is a fantastic place with great views of the middle falls. There's a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so it's a good spot to unwind and enjoy being right next to the river. The food is very good and there's a fine selection of drinks, with locally grown coffee too.
We stayed in one of the 'Waterfall Cottages' and really enjoyed our time there as a family. The shower was a real bonus as you get used to very dribbly ones living here! The view from the cottage was of the waterfall and bringing a telescope for star viewing was a good move as skies are clear there. A short walk takes you up above the falls and to a couple of natural swimming pools - only the brave will enjoy though, as the water is fresh off the mountain. Our kids loved playing amongst the rocks in the stream that runs through the site as well.
I do the mountainbike race there each December and always look forward to the friendly atmosphere, as well as the excellent riding around there too.

Sipi River Lodge was one of the most comfortable places we stayed on our three-week Uganda self-drive itinerary. The room was spacious, well-appointed and had a fantastic waterfall view. We stayed for two nights. There are enough hikes and activities to do in the area to easily warrant a third. We can highly getting a massage here as well.

My bungalow was my on the top,a hike from the reception and restaurant, with great view over the Sipi falls. Room was very lage with panoramic window and terrace.

Laundry service was excellent and very cheap.

It's really a wonderful place. Even compared other Uganda luxury location. I loved the food, excellent. A perfect point of meeting between international cousine and Ugandan. They have their orchard which provides many vegetables hard to find here. The garden is cozy, facing on a waterfall and the river. A confessional community lives on the other side of the little valley. Isaac may provide you a tour of the other waterfalls around there and coffee and banana plantation. Bathroom are separated with a lockers. The luxury huts have 2 bathroom for 4 double room. The only negative point is access to electricity: no plug in my room in the huts. The main building is exquisite, with massive wood forniture, colonial and 60's decoration and a chimney. The staff is nice and precise. I want be back. The lodge hosts two nice dogs that may guide you in the forest, if you let them.

This place is a peace of heaven! The environement is just perfect and our family cottage was amaizing! In front of a fall...and the team was really nice! Including our guide..I hope we will have the opportunity to come again. Thanks a lot!

Sipi waterfalls are 3 falls in series on Mt Elgon at an altitude of 1795m approx and its a amazing trek walk to Sipi river lodge where you can enjoy coffee,meal and beer. Along the walk you can enjoy muddy farms ,caves ,wooden bridges and do remember to click some stunning pics.
It takes about 6 hours ( 280 KM) from Kampala to reach here and you can book a local car to get to this spot. People over here are very humble.
Its a great spot for family picnic too.Do not forget to carry rain gear with you.

The waterfall cottages are beautiful with a stunning view, super comfortable beds and elegant decoration. The service was friendly, food was nice and plentiful. The place is very dog friendly as well. :)

Absolutely stunning place. Warm, friendly staff. Great food. Beautiful walks. Can't recommend highly enough. We extended our stay as we didn't want to leave once we had arrived.

A home away from home. Sipi river lodge is a warm cosy little lodge located at the base of Mt Elgon. A quiet peaceful atmosphere in beautiful grounds full of birds and a waterfall cascading in to the garden which can be seen from the comfort of your bed. Amazing home made meals and coffee, guided tours with friendly staff members. Well worth the visit for a couple of nights or as base to start a Mr Elgon hike. 5 STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Beautiful, sureal and rooms within ear shot of stunning waterfall, food was Excellent aswell as the service. Flyfishing offered with trout to be caught adds up to a spectacular experience.

Oh my gosh this place is stunning! If you can afford to splash out stay in one of the cottages, hike the waterfalls (don't pay anyone for entry that's not a thing) and get the pancakes for breakfast!

Staff was wonderful. Food was delicious. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better stay!
