A must to go place

Magoroto Forest is one place surrounded by nature and only nature with many different activities available. There is this unique natural ambiance, the staff are friendly and helpful and the services are good. Amazing food. They can also cater to your specific dietary requirements. The hiking at different trails is one great adventure in itself, the view point has mesmerizing view. The sunset point is very relaxing place to be while you enjoy the sundown. Nice waterfalls. The lake activities like boating, fishing, swimming, etc.. are so relaxing and fun. Cycling is fun too. There is also a fully equipped bar to enjoy your booze while you relax around a campfire late in the evening after dinner. They have a few selections of card and board games too. There are 2 options of accommodation here, either one does camping around the lake and surrounded by nature or one can stay in the available room (rooms availability is very limited) soon there will be more. Some wooden chalets also coming up as well sooner or later. And more activities will be added as well.. Overall it was a great experience being here. A place to unwind oneself. Will visit here again soon.

Amazing view, the rooms are above and beyond exceptional to be precise the cabins.
The hiking is great, the bonfire, the music, the food, it's just waaaaooh.
I highly recommend It, because it's home away from home.

Serene, beautiful, friendly staff, good vibes, lively band with angelic voices, and informative tours to cap it all up. You want to catch the sunset too because the view is worth the scenic (if a little scary) drive in their able Defender 110.

Good place, but road is not good

This has been one of the best experiences I've had in a while. Magoroto is a superb place for someone who wants to escape the city's noises and enjoy nature and adventure. It has a lot of activities, like mountain hiking, biking (throughout the village) bonfire and many other games.
Having visited here for a first time, i got a very great service from the staff. All their staffers are kind and pay attention to detail. The tents are well situated and their food is nice.
In addition to that, the best thing about camping in Magoroto is being out of the network grid. There is no network so you will detach yourself from every internet-stress and enjoy the best nature can give you.
There are also villages around the forest, and people around there are kind, loving and welcoming.
If you love nature, you will definitely go there. It is superb!!😇😅

Fantastic day trip!!! The last 10k up the hill is tough and you must have 4x4 or AWD. Once there everything is absolutely beautiful, we loved the ECO style and the highlights were the spice tour and the lake (specially the jumping platform.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this place.

The lakeside campsite is quite and serene, with no mobile or internet connection.

One can do many activities at Magoroto forest estate including picnics, swimming, fishing, mountain hikes, village and bicycle tours. There are also soce farms and other economic activities that one can look out.

I loved that the people around the place were very friendly. Staff at the campsite were professional and friendly also.

Ideal for both day trips and stays of several days. Also family friendly, and quiet affordable.

Very nice place with beautiful nature. There are several activities to do, but if you want to do them all then better arrive in the morning. We cycled around (the bicycles are very old there, so better bring your own), took a boat on the lake, swam. There is also restaurant with nice food and also beer, so it's nice to just chill too. Even with so little time, a very enjoyable half day.

Me, My Husband, Kids, My Brother inlaw his wife and his kid, My sister inlaw and Her kids we had 2 nights Here. Is a Lovely place. Afrikan food was so delicious. Wonderful Walking and Hiking with the Guide to the waterfall and The View point. I had a very wonderful experience.

One of best nature place, which offers Camping and other Tourism activities like hiking, boat riding. The place is like Bali of Africa with an amazing location for refreshments and metal recharge.

Magoroto Forest estate is without a doubt one of the most magical places in Tanzania. Located in the East side of the usambara mountains, it is only a 5-6 hour drive from Dar es Salaam. You can also take a bus to Muheza, Tanga and then a motorbike all the way up or call the hosts for a pick up.
The place itself is simply incredible. From the fresh air to the forest (almost feel like you are in the amazon jungle) to the views during the hikes down to the private lake, the beauty of this place is unparalleled. It is a perfect spot whether you are going for a solo trip, with a partner or better yet, a group of friends to escape the busy city life. You have both camping and lodging options and all meals are provided for. You also have the option to cook for yourself or come with your own chef if you so wish. I highly recommend you call ahead and let them know it you have any dietry requirements. The best part about this place has to be the hosts and staff. They will charm you and keep you coming back for more just as I have been for the past 7 trips. Pro tip: try out the wild fruits :) we discovered some that no one knew of their names and we called them wild mangoes. So delicious.

Magoroto Forest is a "Bali of Africa🇹🇿🤗 I enjoyed listening to it's music, the chirping of the birds, dew drops on the green grass look like pearls☘ The beauty of Magoroto Forest soothe my Eyes and gladden my Heart🤗

Best place ever for the peace of mind soul n body,the receptionist (Dorrice) was just amazing,her attitude and Customer Care was just perfect to start yo day off with. The packages to me are cheap compared to what u get in turn. Fishing was the best part to me. Toilets are super clean something that I never expected for such a remote area. It was a rainy day for us never knew that would sparkle even more the fun for the place. The only challenging part is the road to the top for cars with no 4~wheel drive during rainy seasons, something that I would really like the management to look into. I really wish all those who seek serenity and tranquility to visit this place

Exceptional experience... hiking walks, laughing times, and relaxing spots. Natural black peppers, cloves, and more spices. Great hospitable staff including Benjamin, Rama and more!

Magoroto forest is amongst my most amazing trips in 2018, I think I have combed every corner kf the amaizing estate garden, the lake and the clove and wild berry forest plantation to the top of the hills and waterfalls, but I am still not satisfied with it and plan to go back, my experience was with a group of friends, we had a campfire the first night in the beautifull eastate garden overlooking folds of mountains, the morning after was amazing to wake up to such a spectacular view, we hiked almost half the day, and in the evening we set camp at the lake, there was fire, stories and noise! the third day was spent lazing on the lake shore in camping tents, benches by the lake and for some even perched on the trees around! Most magical, most memorable and most wonderfull trip of all!

And Jerry, the eastate manager is an awesome host, made sure everything went smoothly, dont think twice before u visit, its amaizing🖤

Youth Amazing Safari(YAS) has made a trip there over the last weekend. The place is good, calm and enjoyable. If you want to escape the busy city and go for a place you and the nature choose Magoroto Forest.
