Wulai Scenic Train

Note that the last tram is 5pm and 50NT per person one way trip for adults. There are no 2 way tickets sold. Trip was extremely fun and windy.

Was fun riding the train and the gondola. Beautiful few of the falls. Very easy to get there with public transportation. Busses go every 15 minutes . Walk around the pond and play some paint ball shooting and archery

A cute scenic cart ride operating to and fro Wulai Old Street and Wulai Waterfall. NT50 one way, operating 0900 to 1700 hrs.

Tickets can be purchased at the counter or automated machine, which accepts cash, Yoyo 优游卡 card or credit card.

There's no fixed departure time, on average it departs every 10 mins, perhaps more frequent on peak days but when I was there, there were just 3 others, so we waited at the seating area for abit before they decided to board us. The ride is about 10 mins along a 1.5km track of what remains of the original track, ending at Wulai Waterfall station. From Wulai Station, sit on the left and on the way back from Waterfall station, sit on the right for best views.

Just before it arrives at the Waterfall station, it goes into this stretch of tunnel, wished I knew this earlier to standby the camera. You only get 1 chance as the journey back doesn't go thru the tunnel.

Tickets bought from klook, easy to redeem. Scan QR code prior to boarding, need not go to ticket office to get physical tickets. Interesting ride. Queue moves fast, one train can carry about 8 pax.

Queue was long, but the redemption of the QR was easy when booked through Klook.

Wulai Scenic train leads to waterfall. You can walk back to the first station or u can also walk back.

A very short ride but this can bring you to no3 cafe with awesome view.

It’s recommended to take the train for outgoing journeys, and consider walking back for return journey

$50 for ticket, receipt is ticket 🎫

After reaching the other end, you can
see the beautiful waterfalls and aerial trams and unique streets and shops

You can either do a short hike up to see the waterfalls from Wulai Old Street or take this mini train over there.

Definitely a must try :)

Wonderful little train. Its back operation since the typhoon. Its nt$50 one way. If you dont want the round trip I suggest taking it up and walking back (downhill).

Nice little slice of history and great way to support the local economy. Glad its operational again!

At the top is the cable car, some shops and hiking trails and a waterfall.
Note the museum at the top is closed Tuesdays.

Cute train gives us a ride to a great waterfall. NT50 per person and it takes around 10mins.

Wulai log cart just reopened today, on 1 April 2024 (for those who are wondering).

Kids really like to take this train and we also enjoy the view that we passed by.
The destination is Wulai waterfall and you could also take a walk there.

Unfortunately, the train was not operating, but it wasn't a long walk to the waterfall.

It is a short train kinda toyish, that will save you 40 min walk.

Rail cart goes to the waterfall, one way is $50 for adults.

Very good place to visit. The mountain view, water fall, cable car, lodge train drive is very pleasant. The air is super fresh and food are delicious. It will be better to visit in afternoon than morning. Only one downside is need to climb up a lot.
