Incredible place, make sure you take the little train when you go. Creates a unique experience.

Bus drive was crazy I recommend sitting down, and slight dizziness will probably hit.

A spectacular fall right in the heart of Wulai and my tourists from the globe. There are many view points across from the fall, one but all offers great views for free except one tiny coffee shop that charges NT$150 to take photos from their lot. Believe me, it's not necessary. We were there on a rainy day, but the place was still crowded. Taking the mini train spared us from 25 minutes of walking.

Wulai were very peaceful and wonderful place, especially under the rain. Many activities: shopping at the old street, taking log cart to wulai waterfall, sightseeing top of the waterfall by cable car. So Amazing and Wow and Wow all day!!

if you’re going by public transport to Wulai like us, you’ll need to walk a distance to the tram station (warning that there are many steps so not elderly friendly), buy the tickets which will bring you nearer to where the Wulai Falls are!

Beautiful scenic and natural waterfall surrounded by greenery hills out of bustling city life. Drove here a day before new year eve on weekend hence tough to find parking spaces near the waterfall. Generally crowded and lots of visitors and tourist expected during weekend. Roads are quite acceptable as the inclines are gradual but beware of sharp curves.

There is also a mini train ride nearby where a tickets are required for about a 3km ride further down. And a cable car on top.

Great place and easy to get there just walking for about 15 minutes, the road is almost flat. And the view was sooooo beautiful.

Not a big waterfall but worth a visit. Suggest to walk up to the fall and back would be very nice especially in the morning.

It’s pretty. Also the area was absolutely empty on a Wednesday afternoon in March.

Wulai Valley, Waterfall, and Atayal Museum are beautiful places. The places are also recommended because thera so many kuliners and they have a beautiful view.

A half a day trip would suffice. Take mrt to Xindian and a bus outside the mrt station would take you there.

Take a slow walk, enjoy the scenery around the area and walk to the waterfall, you can choose to take the gondola up or just mingle around. Don’t expect much, just soak in the views.

It’s a hot spring town, so you can choose to pay a small fee for a private bath or head to the visitor centre for free feet soak!

Nice cooling place with great local foods. I will not recommended to go on the weekend. Q to take the log train is long.

Been here several times, but this round since it’s raining past few days (late November 2022) fortunate to view the water fall in full glory 😅
The sound of water hitting the ground such beautiful nature… provided the other visitors does not make ruckus noise 😑 wish everyone just view and enjoy the nature in silent… let’s the nature play it music.
Btw, for those had trouble with long walk, you can take the cute mini train to waterfall station. The rest, please do take your time walk along the road towards the waterfall, you will be surprised with few mini water fall 😊

It’s an awesome natural water fall.
Close to Taipei city and road drive is easy to get there if you don’t have much time.👍👍

Wulai falls were a sight to behold! Especially after weeks of continuous and heavy precipitation. The valley and the surrounding forests weren't picturesque on their own but the falls were just the icing on the cake.

Would recommend coming here as early as possible to avoid the throngs of tourists who flock around later. Plus you'd get plenty of great spots to take pictures without having to wait. Furthermore, the cafes nearby aren't crowded as well so you can enjoy a nice quiet meal

I really loved Wulai Falls. It was surprising to find this hidden gem with so much culture and... life! I loved the little intricate traditional roads, homes and shops. I came here with a friend and we took the gondola ride up then hiked the rest of the way to the top. It. Was. Amazing! I loved the beautiful "pond" once you get to the very top. It was like being on a movie set. it was quite lovely.
I totally recommend coming here in the fall or winter where the weather is cooler and you can enjoy canoeing and other outdoorsy activities. It can make the hike up go even smoother.

Amazing landscape really easy to get here by bus(you can take bus here from Bitan station). The view is just WOW, there's all kind of thing here to explore! traditional local food, old streets, waterfall, hiking trail, hot spring and even some hidden natural river to swim! This is definitely somewhere you don't want to miss.

Very beautiful. There are good, easy spots to take good pictures, very popular for couple photos apparently. At the time of our visit, a beautiful mural was being painted on the ground in front of the vista points, so there was a fence in front, bit the other vista point was unobstructed.

The Wulai Waterfall was possibly the best known waterfall in Taiwan besides the Shifen Waterfall. I suspect the reason for this was its relative close proximity to Taiwan’s capital city of Taipei. There was pretty good reason for this popularity as you can see as the waterfall featured an 80m drop right across from the Atayal aboriginal-themed town of Wulai.

While the main drop was the easiest to see, there were actually more hidden cascades and waterfalls further upstream from the valley comprising the overall Wulai Waterfalls. Those were only visible by cable car.

Located in the south of New Taipei City, Wulai is home to the Atayal people and is famous throughout Taiwan for its hot springs. As such it is now a tourist town and many people come here to wallow in the warm waters, learn more about the rich indigenous culture and explore the surrounding nature.

With loads of outdoor activities on offer, you can go hiking in the forests, go fishing in the river and also camp amongst the wild while enjoying the delightful scenery. Visitors can also buy some of the indigenous arts and crafts on sale and try some of the local food.
