An institution and a must-try when visiting Taipei. One will notice a crowd standing around with a bowl, slurping away.

The queue is snaking long but moves like clockwork and quickly. About 10 mins wait.

Perfect for a cool weather, the rice vermicelli is served piping hot and packs a punch in flavor department and the intestine is cooked till soft. A dash of vinegar, chili and garlic complete the meal.

I have heard lots of good things about this rice noodle soup so I definitely need to give it a try and oh boy it was so good. Ordering was super simple, they have the 小 and 大 portion size, you can choose the smaller one to test it out. The only (-) is that they don’t provide seats so you need to look for seats elsewhere.

Top-class flavor & quality. So flavorful with a lil bit of sauces on the side. Was worth the visit especially when there was zero wait. Highly recommended!

Quite an institution and a must visit place for my wife when we’re in Ximending. It’s been around for ages and pretty worth the price for the area it’s in. Tastes great and is even better you add the chili and vinegar.

There was quite a respectable queue but it moved super quickly as the staff just needs to scoop the already cooked noodles into paper bowls.

Great noodle soup with what I suppose was some innards? Beware if you don't like that stuff, although honestly try it anyway because you won't even notice it and it tastes great! Cheap and good food, I recommend the large portion, since the small one is.. really small.

A must try when visiting Xi Men Ding! The queue is long but it moves fast. There are no tables with only a limited number chairs to sit on outside. Most customers linger outside to eat. It’s a comforting snack to have in the cold! While not the traditional oyster mee sua, the intestine pieces in the mee sua were generous.

Recommend to try this in winter season because of it’s very hot. Taste good and special. This store is always crowded and have long queue but in the early morning there are lesser ppl buy so you can buy faster. Food in taiwan is cheap and tasty 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Perfect food for the cold weather!

I really thought this place was overrated as everybody is hyping it up everywhere in vlogs. But no, this place is the best. Indeed, there is a line, but don't be discouraged, it goes fast.

For my fellow pinoys out there, this tastes like some upgraded misua with tripe (laman ng goto). You'd taste the broth with overflowing umami, and then paired with the chewiness of the tripe. After slurping the soup you'd just feel the warmness rush all over your body, super perfect when it's like 13-16 degrees outside.

I added another item in this review because it is just so good when paired with the soup. I honestly don't know what it's called, but it's like mochi balls mixed with some peanut-tasting powder. The salty, savory broth to be washed down by the chewy, sweet "mochi". You can buy this one just in front of Ay-Chung.

-Most visited mee sua place in Taipei, quite worth the hype I would say. Their mee sua tastes heavily of bonito broth and gives it a sweet and savoury slightly seafoody taste.
-You have to pair it with the coriander and vinegar and chilli for maximum flavour. Gosh, my mouth is watering again as I'm typing this. Hah.
-Different sizes are available. They even sell it in frozen packets.

Famous rice noodle shop in Ximen. Is simple and you’re expected to eat on the stools right outside the store (no tables) and go. There’s a lot of overhead fans in the place where the stools are situated so it’s not that uncomfortablen when you’re eating their rice noodle soup.

Very nice, and the services is quick. They have limited chairs for you to seat, hence, despite long queue, the flow of people is fast.

Food is so nice, very comfortable food to eat in such a cold weather, despite no place to sit, the only way is to purchase and stand there eating. Definitely value for money and must try when you go 西门町!

One of the best I have eaten. Highly recommend to add the chili, garlic and vinegar to bring out the taste. Q may be long, but it moves fast.
They come in 2 sizes. 75 for large and 60 for small.
Do tell them if you are taking away, or eating there. If you wish to take away, they will give you a cover and a plastic bag. They will also add in the chili, garlic and vinegar for you b4 covering. I always ask for extra chili as I love the kick.

All in all, the place is really good. Really reasonable price for a food that is really good! Taste and quality is fantastic. Been here multiple times during my Taiwan trip because it's just really good. The staff were all very nice and friendly. They deserve a 5/5 rating and I highly recommend this place.

Totally worth the trip to eat this. The noodle are tender and soup is so tasty. You don't need the condiments but adding some vinegar, garlic, and/or chili really kicks up the flavor. Small is 60 and large is 75. Service is quick and efficient.

At first, the dish honestly did not look very appetizing to me but once I tasted it, I was very pleasantly surprised! To me, it’s more of a soup than noodle. Has that fishy umami taste from I believe dried bonito flakes and you can mix it up with sauces. Intestine is SUPER GOOD, so tender and savory. I wish they give the option to buy extra cause i cant have enough.

Staff functions like clockwork so line moves quickly. Large portion seems more economical as it almost doubles in size but only slightly more expensive than the small.

The rice noodle is really delicious with chewy chicken skin and chili sauce. You can either sit in front of the restaurant or stand nearby on the large pavements. I chose the small portion (60 twd) for it was my first time eating here, and I wish I had order the large portion. Highly recommend. Fast service.
