Beautiful tribute to the first President of Taiwan. Sad we weren't able to pay respect to Chiang Kai-Shek. The mausoleum was sealed off from public view due to an irate national who desecrated the memorial on February 28, 2018. No matter the political views, should not act out on a founders grave site. That's low.

Nice to look at from the outside, but I don't think you can enter. It's interesting to see this mausoleum in the beautiful surroundings and the statue park right next door. Come there for the hourly changing of the guard!

Very nice place. Visited in July 2019. This is Chiang Kai-shek (蔣中正)'s burial. I witnessed the changing of the guards.

The CIHU mausoleum is definitely the best place to learn more about Taiwanese history under the reign of the KMT Chiang Kai- shek. I stayed at a hostel in Taoyüan” Your HOMES” and the host gave me a clear history background about him and makes everything so much more understandable. The statue park is really worth visiting( the statues were originally established in all levels of school, but then ppl protested against it) A great day trip destination!

One of my favorite spots in Taipei. Not much on the activities, but just to get a feel of Taiwan's very rich culture. Personally, a must see.
