Daxi Old Street

Avoiding going at the weekend. Loads of people including locals and tourists.
It is a place where you can still see the buildings that the japanese built. They are well preserved. An exciting small area you should visit.

Nice place to visit to get a taste of traditional goodies. Love the sponge cake which is light and fluffy.

Definitely a great place for different local Taiwanese food and snacks. This place is wonderful because not only the food and historical buildings but you can combine exercises epid. Dashi has amazing hiking trails and also convenient as a biking stop.

Vibrant and great architecture. If you love taking pictures this weekend be an ideal spot to visit. Slightly crowded though with lots of tourist. Variety of souvenirs are available here as well but it's pretty hot mid day so come in the afternoon

I will continue to come back to this place if I have the opportunity. I really like this place, peaceful and gentle

A good place to spend a few hours daytime and worth the journey to get there, the street is long and has alot of old shops selling specialty snacks that usually you don't find it in Night market like malted sugar candies, carrot cakes, dry bean curd. The big creed itself is quite pretty and good for taking a stroll on the bridge.

There are some cultural exhibitions about local history in nearby parks. A great place for bean curd and dry bean curd lovers.

Beautiful Daxi Old Street. Daxi Old Street has stunning architecture buildings which date back from japanese occupation.

Easy to explore with great street food and dessert along the way.

Getting there is easy, as there are buses scheduled back and forth from taoyuan HSR to Daxi Old Street, which could be found online. (Daxi Express Bus). Recommended to go in the weekend or public holiday as there are more frequent buses heading there.

Very beautiful street. Lots of shops to see. I think Taiwan is famous for their soy bean products so you must try their 豆腐花.

The name explains the place, filled with old and ancient snack and eatery shops like shaved ice, peanut 🥜 powder candy, ice cream sandwiches, rice crackers, hongkong snacks, fresh juices, antique sculptures and many more.
Also a famous tourism spot in taoyuan. This street also consists of a huge garden are the end with a small pond..
If u walk around the place u can also notice old wells from the 80's.
Really cool place to walk around and eat local Taiwanese food. Highly Recommended place for tourists.

The street is lined with numerous food stalls and snack vendors. At the street's conclusion, you'll discover a stunning park situated near the Daxi Bridge. You can choose to descend the stairs or utilize the lift to access the bridge. Additionally, there is a museum where you can acquire various stamps to add to your stamp collection. Me and my friends had a great trip to this place. Will definitely be back again

There are lots of interesting street food here, when I visit it on Monday, the road wasn't too crowded either.

At the end of the street, you will find a beautiful park located near the Daxi Bridge.
Just down the stairs to go to the Daxi Bridge, or take the lift.
There is a museum too, you can have several stamps there for your stamp's collections.
One thing to point out, they provide a bidet in the restroom which is very useful for me that never get used to toilet paper only.

Diverse dishes, moderate prices. The roads and houses still retain their ancient features.

On the banks of Dahan river, a beautiful old street with many cultural artifacts and shops. Many choices for street foods here. The scenery around is quite appealing. A good place for family picnics during the weekends or holidays. Can drive or ride since there is enough place for parking.

Free place to look and 1 of the must come place if you are in Taoyuan. It will be bustling with tourists and local in the late morning. If you have time, you can enjoy the bean curd. The rest of the morning food is similar to the night market. Alot of other hand gifts can be purchase over there. Do take note toilet is not easily accessible so there is a walking distance to the park to use the public toilet.

Highly recommend to pay a visit when you are in Taoyuan. Many old stores still remains and operating. Most of the street stores facade are designed uniquely in Baroque style. You can find stores selling tea, local snacks, wooden products and handicrafts. Can be very crowded on the weekends.

Pretty good place to visit for its historic buildings along the street. Most of them are well maintained to keep the original look. You can find a lot of famous braised beancurd products here. There are also lots of wood sculptures stores.

You can always find some amazing stuff in Daxi old street. Parking might be troublesome but money can solve this issue. The secret is to visit shops which have no fancy decorations but crowded.

You can feel the ambience are silence, but the view is an old but fantastic to people who want to feel the past generation.i am quite satisfied.
