This museum has a lot historical relics and is preserved well.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
It's a very good place to go to with your family.
This museum doesn't charge any admission fee.
You can also take some pictures and admire this paintings outside.
This place is definitely worth you while.

It's a small museum consists of 3 floors with collections of the past military lives who serve the country, its a good place to hang out if you like taking pictures and to escape the scorching heat outside, most important is the entrance is free. Worth it

It's a museum of the wars in Taiwan. There are many ancient stuffs. The toys made of chopsticks, old furniture, rooms of soldiers, the ancient streets. It's a historical place where filled with the warm of the ancient era.

Nice family learning site. The clerk was helpful and friendly. My son loves the hands on displays and the airplane miniatures. He refused to go home.

So many stuff for the history. Good. And so did the wall.

Highly recommended! In order to understand the importance of Hsinchu to the defence of Taiwan against communist China invasion ever since 1949, it is a must visit! It is also a look of history in a nutshell.. I would start the visit with a look of the Hsinchu city map dotted with lights each marking a military village! They are filling the whole city! And not limited by the air forces at all.. They are all branches of the military services in order to protect Taiwan from military attacks! Our post-war generations cannot appreciated the sacrifices elder generations made without a visit of this museum! 飲水思源！ 我大力推薦您來此一遊！I highly recommend a visit of the Hsinchu military community museum when you are in town!

新竹市眷村博物館是全臺灣第一座的眷村博物館，成立於2002年，為新竹市眷村常民文化與文物展現的基地。主建築的外牆有一整面3D立體彩繪作品，作品呈現眷村景象，畫得栩栩如生，彷彿讓人置身在當時眷村生活的情境。

眷村博物館總共有三層樓，一樓規劃為眷村歷史背景區，介紹臺灣眷村的形成與新竹眷村的演變歷程；二樓則規劃為眷村生活情境區，以造景的手法保留眷村的獨特生活容貌；三樓以推廣眷村文化所規劃的主題特展。

值得一提的是，民間大力提供與蒐集眷村文物，除了主動捐贈文物以外，還親身投入口述記憶的傳承工程，大大展現了「用自己的記憶來說眷村故事」的精神。可以說在博物館裡所見的文物、所聞的故事，一同塑造著新竹市眷村居民的共同記憶，讓人穿梭於時光的迴廊之中。

眷村博物館理面展示很多以往的生活器具,還有當兵的裝備等,很多場景都是懷念的感覺,由於我們是平日過來,人很少,所以可以慢慢拍照,慢慢逛,從一樓逛到3樓,這裡有冷氣有廁所,就算下雨天也不怕,建議逛完還可以走過去附近的黑蝙蝠中隊看看,都是免費的喔~~~
