Beishan Broadcasting Wall

Once used to blast political messages into Mainland China, this speaker is a towering (I mean it, it is really tall) artefact of a different time. Looking across from the speaker, you can see the red clay cliffs of Beishan and Mainland China in the distance. I think this is an absolute must visit in Kinmen.

There is parking available on site.

A piece of history on Kinmen's northwestern coast and a reminder of the bitter tensions between Taiwan (ROC) and mainland China (PRC) during the Cold War.

This broadcasting wall was once used to blast propaganda and music over the border into neighbouring mainland China. Now, it plays music from Teresa Teng, one of the Taiwanese artists who once sent messages over the border using this speaker.

Cool place to see a bit of interesting history between Taiwan and the PRC. Decades ago, the speakers here were turned to full blast to spread messages to their brothers a short distance across the water. Now the wall plays a retro recording of what I believe is Teresa Teng delivering a personal message and one of her songs. Great view of Xiamen across the way and the bridge between Kinmen and Little Kinmen, which is under construction.

The broadcasting site and the place where the DJ are located are different so that when China bomb this place for broadcasting the propaganda, Taiwan can easily rebuild the broadcasting site as no one is located here.

Could this be the reason why China Pilot deflect to Taiwan during the war by flying the plane over ?

Nice historical place near the ocean. Good view of Xiamen. Could have more exhibits or visitors center around it

It's like a huge speaker playing the old recording and songs from a famous singer Teng Li-Chun in 70s-80s.

Broadcasting venue and the place the DJ do the broadcasting is a different place. This is so that they can keep destruction to the minimal. So Ingenious !

來到北山播牆，似乎回到了遙遠的年代在這可聽到過往鄧麗君小姐的廣播及甜蜜蜜的歌曲，讓人有種回到過去的感覺。

蠻有意思的一個景點，遠眺可以看到對啊，對岸，適合拍拍照打卡一下。
但是我們去的那一天風很大，需要加件防風外套

曾在許多節目上看過介紹，這次親身體驗感覺很特別，對岸的廈門也能看到，聽說廈門也能聽見鄧麗君的歌😂

北山播音牆就矗立在北山斷崖上，北山播音牆是兩岸對峙時期用來心戰喊話的工具，多孔外形像蜂巢一樣，特殊造型成為IG打卡熱門景點。

北山播音牆為兩岸對峙時期用來心戰喊話的工具，分別設於北山、馬山各兩座，高約三層樓的水泥牆面向廈門，內部裝有48個大喇叭，據傳聲音可遠達至25公里之遠。
