The village was constructed by Wang Kuo-chen, a successful businessman who created his wealth while he was in Japan in 1876 and it took 25 years to complete all of buildings in this area in the year 1900. It consists of 18 houses of the Wang family houses.
It’s a beautiful housing complex with a complicated design that well maintained. There’s a lot of beautiful photo opportunities when we arrived about half an hour before they shut..

Beautiful century-old village. The architecture here is very typical Minnan (southern Fujian) architecture, but much more well-maintained than other similar villages in Kinmen and mainland China. Would highly recommend this as a place to experience Kinmen's culture beyond its status as a Cold War frontline.

The oyster noodles (蚵仔麵線) here was delicious and fragrant, without a hint of fishiness in the oysters.

Traditional village with min Nan cultural houses. Glad to have come here to learn more.about the cultural and heritage of kinmen. Kudos to Taiwan 好行。

Very fun to explore, even on a rainy day. It definitely feels a little more like a community than it does a tourist attraction.

Well preserved cultural heritage site. Will need a tour guide to understand the cultural significance of the architectural designs of the buildings.

An old fashioned village compound of traditional housing. There's a couple of B&Bs here, as well as refreshment stores and a mini museum.

This shows the cultural architecture of kinmen. There is a stall which sells the traditional kinmen oyster noodle ( mee sua )
