Good old brewed coffee. Be prepared to wait in a queue if you are looking to dine in at the premise. Would reccomend to get the cuppa as a take out so that you dont have to waste time waiting. We tried the FD coffee which was a tad bitter but still delicious. Will come back again soon when around the area.

Nestled in the bustling heart of Ximending, Taipei, my husband and I stumbled upon a charming coffee haven, Fong Da Coffee. Surprisingly close to our hotel, this quaint café has garnered fame among both locals and tourists, a fact we were blissfully unaware of until our visit.

The ambience of Fong Da Coffee exudes a welcoming warmth. We were lucky to snag a table for ourselves, a rarity, as we soon noticed a growing queue forming outside the café, a testament to its popularity. The time was just past 10 AM, yet the allure of this place had already drawn a crowd.

As a coffee enthusiast, I was eager to try their blend. While I found the coffee slightly too acidic for my personal taste – I lean towards milkier brews – I can appreciate why it would appeal to true coffee aficionados. The rich, robust flavor speaks of quality and care in selection.

An unexpected delight was the opportunity to purchase coffee beans on-site. Watching the beans being roasted added a sensory experience to our visit, enveloping us in the rich aroma of fresh coffee.

A standout recommendation for any visitor to Fong Da Coffee is their club sandwich; packed with flavour and perfectly complementing the coffee.

A word of advice for future patrons: arrive early. This gem is no secret, and a line is almost always present. Alternatively, embrace the local culture and be open to sharing tables with fellow coffee lovers. It's part of the charm that makes Fong Da Coffee a must-visit spot in Taipei.

One of the best coffees we’ve had in this trip. Not the commercial coffee you expect. IT’S THE REAL COFFEE taste. We didn’t even know about it, just passed by it and smelled the coffee aroma from around the corner. Try out their cookies too. They taste like cookiebutter. Pairs great with their coffee.

An awesome coffee house by the busy street of Xinmending. They offer simple food fare but the coffees are amazing!
Saw some review on why this place got knocked a few stars down and I believe it’s unfair to expect every establishment to carry “vegan” and/or “almond/oat” milk for you. You’re in other people’s country, for goodness sake, be nice. Don’t ruin an establishment just because of your specific dietary preference.

The elders running the cafe were very nice and they offer a vast range of coffee blends. The ham and egg sandwiches were surprisingly tasty.

The mother of all coffee shop in Taipei is here. This house is the oldest and they do their job traditionnaly with their own roasted beans. The coffee menu is very classic but not too expensive. You can get a sit quite fast even at the busy hours sod on't be afraid of the queue in front (many people are here for takeaway). I tried their capuccino and their bicuit. Both were good and well prepared/cooked.
The place is cute to visit, the staff is professional (might seem a bit unfriendly some time like a parisian bistrot :P)
It is worth trying if you are visiting Ximending area.

Very nostalgic coffee shop which has old school big jars of biscuits and coffee beans. Went there for breakfast and had a 5-8 mins queue to get in. The walnut biscuits is out of this world, must get a few jars !!

Place ambience is build to enjoy coffee but coffee is abit towards more blend as compared to the real single origin taste. However the taste of each coffee is made to be acceptable to most people.

Pair up with their cookie taste its an good experience

If you like acidic coffee go for Kenya.
Otherwise can recommend the Mandheling coffee.

Great coffee to start off the day. They roast their beans everyday and the coffee fragrance and taste is superb. And the latte art is legendary too.

Authentic local coffee shop. They forgot my order initially but the coffee was good. Ordered their signature iced coffee.

Service was quite bad. No idea where to queue, staff was in a hurry and doesn’t care about customer experience at all. Very different from the rest of the Taiwanese where they are kind and customer service oriented.

Very special coffee shop with amazing coffee. We loved the FD Iced Latte (100 NTD each) mainly - phenomenal taste and the coffee beans are clearly high quality. We had to queue for seating inside but it wasn’t too long.

A small coffee house set behind its shop front, this place sells freshly-baked cookies and aromatic coffees, as well as the more traditional desserts.

Old-fashioned cafe in Taipei City, even for young generation in Taiwan, this cafe shop is a brand new experience.
Customer service is good, which might depend on personal feeling.
Recommend foreign tourists to visit here and take a rest in hot summer day.
