Highly recommend a visit if you have the time. Took a taxi from Ximending area and fee is about 500 twd for a 30mins ride.
The cafe is not big but has sufficient space for dining. Very clean and cosy environment. They serve a variety of drinks, light bites and cakes. There are also merchandise for sale.
The prices are reasonable for an animal themed cafe. Ticket to interact with the capybara is 150 TWD on weekdays and 200 TWD on weekends or public holidays. This fee comes with 1 feed, 1 standard drink and 1 pc of egg cake. The capybara egg cake is delicious and we ordered a set of 3pcs.
There are ducks and rabbits in the enclosure, it is well maintained with clean water and sufficient food for the animals and there's no strong foul smell.
The capybaras are very chill and it's so fun to watch them eat. The ducks roam around freely but not recommend to pet them as they dont seems to like it. You can ask for duck feeds from the staff inside the enclosure if you wish to interact with the ducks.
Had an enjoyable and memorable experience and would love to bring my family back again!

A ten minute walk from Tucheng MRT station, this small cafe offers a lot. Their menu has more variety before but now has been cut down to their most popular items. On our visit we had the mochi capybara cakes with ice cream, the regular capybara cakes with cream, a chocolate sundae, and the mixed fried food platter along with an iced coffee and a milk tea. Although not exciting or well presented, the sweets tasted good especially the mochi capybara cakes with ice cream. The fried food platter was not actually fried but prepared in an air fryer, which was actually my first time trying good prepared on one. They tasted no better than what you’d expect of you did it yourself but I thought it was good enough and was much less oil than I thought it was going to be.
In the back of the cafe is a room where a tiny white dog and a cat are kept. Visitors can visit them at their leisure and both are cute, as behaved, and smell surprisingly good.
You have to wait for your turn to visit the capybaras and each visit if only 20-25 minutes long and costs $200. Each visitor is given a cup of grass with which to feed the animals of which there are two. There is also an adorable duck that is very social and curious. The capybaras are very well behaved and have been raised by the caretaker since they were 6 months old. Even though this place is not overly exciting, you can get really close to the animals which you might have never seen before. This place is definitely worth a visit.

While I highly enjoyed interacting with the capybaras, the two ducks that shared the wide play-space were the real show-stealers. (Unfortunately I couldn’t keep them still long enough for a picture).

The kitchen was under construction when we went, so they didn’t have any meal offerings. But I did have a decent strawberry smoothie from their menu. It was pleasantly sweet - the kind you’d expect from a typical cafe. Understandable considering that the highlights are the capybaras.

Worth a visit to feed capybaras and see them up close!

As others have noted, the main attraction here is a 15-minute experience with the resident 2 capybaras where you can feed them the grassy plants they like to eat. Note that the capybaras responded mainly to the presence of food and tolerated the occasional petting motion. The duck was more animated and fun to watch though I think he would’ve preferred to be fed as well!

My wife found this place and booked us an appointment for the cafe online, though the capybara slot is separate and confirmed after paying for the cafe. There’s a minimum 200 NT spend per person at the cafe, plus an additional 50 pp for the capybara session.

We tried having the capybara shaped cake things, along with two different teas which were ok.

Travel to here from Taipei was a bit out of the way so we opted to take an Uber to save time. All in all a fun visit.

Fun cafe where, for an additional fee, you can scratch, feed and interact with the Capys in their enclosure. The attendant clearly loved talking to guests about them. The food is fine, as others have said there is a minimum charge for food and my pizza was ok....but we aren't really there for the food.

Capybara Knight offers a unique experience where purchasing a ticket allows you to spend quality time with the capybaras. It's worth every dollar, providing around 10 minutes of play and feeding these adorable creatures. While the food quality might not be exceptional, it's not the main attraction here - the capybaras steal the show.

Interacting with the owner was a pleasure; his evident passion for animals shines through, and the bond he shares with them is heartwarming. Planning ahead is key, as they are quite popular - making a reservation in advance ensures you don't miss out on this delightful opportunity.

Highly recommend making a reservation as they can get busy or visit a weekday like I did. You have to spend 100NT per person. After ordering, I reserved a time slot for playing with the capybaras (outside area has 2 capybaras and a duck). You get about 10 minutes to play with them and feed them grass! They’re pretty docile. There’s also an additional area inside that contains a 13 year old dog, cat, and 2 rabbits! Overall a pretty cool cafe for these animals. The latte I had was not that good but the main point is to play with the animals.

It was really fun to give the capy food and pet them. The food is also nicely decorated in theme.

Absolutely adorable! It was my first time seeing capybara IRL.
You pay extra 50 NTD to feed the Capybara and it’s totally worth it!
Also very friendly staff.
Can’t wait to go back! 😊❤

I love love love the whole experience it made me so happy the whole day definitely worth visiting! Only NT100 to feed and interact with the capybaras and duck for 10mins, definitely affordable and not a rip off. The food were reasonable priced and decent tasting. Set a realistic expectation and you will be satisfied! I bought their merchandise too becuase everything was so cute and reasonably priced. Will visit again, I couldn’t get enough of the capybaras. Oh plus, play with soma the doggie while waiting, cos all the pets there are very docile, gentle and welcoming. Whole place was clean and well maintained, no unpleasant smell at all.

Highly recommend this place to visit and Interact with the capybaras and other small animals. Food prices are pretty affordable.

The staff explains patiently and shows us how to interact and feed the capybaras.

It’s best to make a reservation online before going down.

Will visit again if I ever get the chances to come back to Taipei!

100% worth the experience to come out here and pet/feed the little capybaras!!! They're super cute and big! They love the grass so they'll come to you to snack.

The food and drink are great too! I got some tea and the capybara shaped snack with berry jam. Delicious and cute experience!

They will allow you to choose a time slot to pet the capybaras, after you order food and pay. In the meantime, you can play with the little doggy and kitty in the other room, they're just chilling.

Best cafe. It’s not too far away from central Taipei, and you get to pet the capybaras and feed the duck. There’s also a cat, a rescued dog, and rabbits. The drinks and food were great too!

One of the greatest cafes I’ve ever been to. Would come back again 100%. Bala and Gabi are the sweetest animals and will let you pat them a lot

Great place to see, pat and feed Capybaras. Food is ok but the main attraction are the animals.
