Hotel Royal Chihpin

We had a room which was freshly refurbished, done in subtle and tasteful beiges, all spotlessly clean and new. We tried in the indoor sulphuric bath - again spotlessly clean and well maintained. Dinner : we had their in house hot pot restaurant: food was plentiful but I thought the soup stock lacked punch. Breakfast buffet was generous. Came as part of local Viator tour promising 5*+ hotels.

Lovely hotel with amazing service and great amenities including hot spring - inside (also in the room and outside (two options). You can easily spend all day in the hotel and get busy with archery, badminton, swimming & hot springing + more. 3 restaurants with excellent food.

This hotel has almost thirty years of history.
However, the room and the facilities keep very well and clean. The staff here are kind and providing warm hospitality. The dinner buffet is all right, not making me impressed. Last but not least, the bed and the pillow are the perfect combination of firm and soft, and I had a very good sleep.

Everything was wonderful hotel staff was courteous and friendly and the activities provided were many and fun. This is our third time there. Only thing is the years are showing at this hotel especially the pool with the slide. Climbing up those steps parts were a bit slippery from a thin film and a tile here and there were missing, which I thought was a bit dangerous for kids especially if they stepped on it. Rooms Were super nice and other Pools were nice and plentiful very relaxing and spa was amazing. Will go again in future.

Nice hot spring hotel with so many activities available all day such as archery, making mochi etc. Once you arrive, you don't need to leave at all, there is always an activity going on. The highlight would be the aboriginal performances every night. It's a 45 minute show with a different tribe being represented each night. Starts at 8:30 and includes a lucky draw. The outdoor and indoor springs are not too crowded. The food could be better in terms of quality. Also, the restaurant is always crowded. However, very nice hotel overall and would recommend !

The stay here was incredible. Every one who works here is accommodating and the check in process is simple. They ask you there about what activities you want to do and help set them up for you on the spot. The room was really nice, with 2 full beds and a small balcony. I would suggest the buffet meals to get the bang for your buck. Also, apparently no one likes to use the outdoor pool so I essentially had it all to myself in the morning. I would highly suggest this hotel to anyone who finds themselves in the area! And DEFINITELY take advantage of the hot tub in the room :)

Nice staff, location, hot springs, breakfast and dinner. Service and quality are good. It’s worthy to come here again.

One of the best five star hotel in Taiwan. Beds are big and room is spacious. You can enjoy the hot spring bath right inside your room or three hot springs bath area around the hotel. Full set of toiletries provided. Water are provided in excess. Even two cans of the energy drinks are provided free. Gym and swimming are available. Wifi is available for every room where no password needed. Speed is good. The room is clean.

This hotel is very special. The people seems to always try their best to make guest experience a memorable one. Our favorite part is the cultural folklore song and dance in the evening. The dancers are talented and the short performance created a good memory for us. I also enjoy the open air spring bath. The service attendant was very helpful and accommodating, even though her english was limited. This place is highly recommended! 👍👍

I don't care for the modern water spa area. It is a bit the eye sore for me. The hotel looks aged from the outside but the room is fairly updated.

This is a beautiful place. The evening of our arrival we enjoyed a lovely meal set followed by some time in the various hot springs pools featuring lavender, green tea, herbal and other various temperature baths and jacuzzis. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the hotel grounds are very Serene and welcoming. Well worth a stay.

A wonderful and inexpensive hotel in Taitung! Here you can relax yourself with SPA (natural hot spring is nearby), swimming pool, and multiple sport facilities. Enjoy various kind of food including the local and Western kind. Don’t miss the show at night by kids from Aboriginal Tribe and dance with them afterwards. You’ll be amazed by the spirit and beauty of their dance!

Staying one night there in December 2018. The room is spacious and clean with a great view of the mountain. We enjoyed everything there, including the dinner and breakfast buffets, hotel facilities (arching, inddor and outdoor hot springs, and areas to stroll around), and aboriginal dance performance at night. The staffs are also very freindly. Top choice, indeed!

It's very good choice to stay. A lot of ingredients of buffet come from local, so it's fresh and the quality is well. Aboriginal performance is bilingual, we can not only understand the culture, but also enter their dance. Offer much entertainment that you can use.

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly. The Good: everything was not only good but great! Service was awesome, the food (buffet for breakfast and dinner) was great, and the room was comfortable and beautifully appointed. The soaking tub was a very nice change. There were quite a lot of amenities to try, and the outdoor dance troupe was excellent. The bad and the ugly? None!

So many great activities in the resort. We played ping-pong, pool, swimming and arching. Love the food (they have a great amount of varieties) in the cafeteria. Most important of all, the hot spring is really worthwhile visiting.

Indoor and outdoor hot springs, and animals are the highlights, wonderful service, comfortable amenities, indigenous performance every night, nice restaurants, would stay again!

Great retreat location for busy people, The hotel is best in class in Taitung area famous for the hot spring facilities. I recommend the Spa for its deep tissue treatment massage. Very relaxing

The resort is well known for its' hot spring, it provides outdoor as well as indoor hot spring experience. The hot spring is odorless almost like household hot water except for the rich mineral contents. The nightly show provides by the indigenous kids was a exceptional culture feast.

Spa complex was fantastic and very professional. The indoor hot spring has 4 different temperatures, a sauna as well as steam. They provided all the amenities. Note: it is a fully nude spa (the indoor one).
