City Suites Taoyuan Station

This is my go-to hotel when first arriving in Taiwan. It’s nice, clean and the best hotel in its price range in the area. It’s situated at a crossroads where there are plenty of choices for restaurants and stores. A train station is just a few blocks away, making it a perfect stepping off place for traveling around Taiwan. It’s also not directly connected by train to the airport so you’re not stuck in some campy tourist area.

The staff is excellent. They are very efficient, helpful and do their best to satisfy their customer special needs. I highly recommend City Suites hotel and I stay here every time I visit Taiwan.

This is the best hotel experience I had in Taiwan. Phenominal stay super comfy and really cool minimal design language.

Love the wide and spacious lobby, the overall looks grand and service was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend friend for the stay. Location nearby railway and easily accessible to food and shopping.

Super comfortable stay! Would definitely come back. The rooms are very clean, they give you water and put out new water when they service your room. There’s also a water machine in the lobby. The staff was super nice and helpful. Everything is stylish and upgraded. They provide some toiletries, like toothbrushes, comb, razor, etc. it’s easy to get in and out. The check in/out process is really easy. They speak enough English, and it’s easy with google translate. The location is fantastic! Super easy walk to/from the train station. Tons of things to do/see/eat in the area.

The only tricky part was the entrance that’s in an alley, but if you look past that, it’s great. The room felt a little warm despite the AC being on, but it’s very cold in the hallway, so we left the door cracked, as did other people. I would recommend wearing ear plugs if you want to sleep in since you can hear people in the hallway.

We ended up booking an extra night since our flight left at midnight the next day and we wanted to lounge in the room before we left. Book last minute! The price is much cheaper. :)

Someone else left a bad review of this place, and I have to say that of you had that bad of a time, it’s on you.

The hotel is on the 6th and 7th floors of a multi-use building. Entrance through a small alley way. Up the elevator.
We walked a short distance from the train station. Look for a flashing sign that says Hotel.

The location is great. Everything and I mean everything is within walking distance. The rooms are huge, clean and modern. Very inexpensive.

There is really no hotel lobby. Just some table and chairs.

No breakfast but food is everywhere around the hotel.
Hotel can call transport for you to the airport and was 650NTD.

Will definitely return for a longer stay next time. 5/5 stars!

Great service at the front desk. The location makes it easy to explore the city

Very clean, pretty new (2022), modern, decent bedroom size, nice lobby, good Wi-Fi.
But top if the list is customer service - a 5 star hotel level! We requested a handicapped friendly room and that’s what they gave us. There was a minor problem with the sink. They had a repair guy come right away and fix but he couldn’t. So they immediately gave us a different room that was bigger and could accommodate my wife. And they apologized profusely. Wow! Lobby is clean and new as well. A little too modern for me with no plants or artwork.
Room was clean and comfortable. AC worked well and was not too loud. Had night lights in room and bathroom. Small refrigerator. Blackout curtain worked well. Location is also downtown taoyuan near train station. Shopping and food all around.

Only negative is it’s just a little hard to find the entrance as others have said - especially if your Chinese isn’t great. And the building seems a little seedy with game rooms and Internet cafes on other floors. But we felt safe and saw no shenanigans going on.

For the price ($30 USD) there’s not much to complain about this hotel. The rooms are pretty standard fare for asia but the bathrooms, more importantly are quite large in size. There is a full size shower (which at this price point is a luxury).

Check in is fairly straight forward... the only confusing part is the entrance, which is by the elevator bank on the south side of the building by an alleyway

Everything seems to be great, especially considering the price per night.
