Ximending Walking District

This place was a wonderful surprise for me. I was able to experience & explore what it had to offer which was numerous street food & window shopping for mostly taiwan foods to bring home to friends & family. Be prepared for a whole ton pf walking!

A little bit expensive. They have a lot street food, restaurant and shop. E like the ehobby store there's a lot of Gundam. We love our hotel sky gate ❤🤩 lot's of freebies food

Main shopping street in Taipei. Lots of various type of fashion brands available as well as numerous souvenir shops, local fashion brands and eateries. You'll also find lots of street performers scattered around the vicinity. Great to head there either during the day or evening. Soke street food vendors are also available in some of the smaller alley ways. Must visit whilst you are in Taipei.

Great spot to visit if you're in the area. Nice & trendy walking district with a good amount of retail stores & eateries. Easily accesible via train.

Endless things to see and hear and touch. A very colorful place to see and experience! Even though it was 13C and drizzling, people were enjoying the walk and the entertainment.

The only thing I noticed is that, there’s no specific arrangement or categorization of the stalls. There’s no specific place to stop by when in search of something; however, the color coded posts infront of each alley made it easier for locating a faved store.

Food stalls were also not many. Difficult for a vegetarian to eat.

I stayed at this area so I feel very convenient when I walk around for shopping and have nice food. Many activities in this area and it’s right at the Ximen station so you can take the train go everywhere you want or can take bus go jiufen or shifen also 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 but the clothes price is quite high if compare with night market or the underground stores at taipei city mall 🤭🤭🤭
If stay here you can easily to get the food at night or early morning with those famous store instead of need to wait in long queue during crowded hours 🤪🤪🤪🤪

All kinds of Taiwanese Street food. Enjoy the vibes of this night market. Generally, friendly staffs from most of the food stalls. The chou dou fu owner carries a doggy in his backpack!

The shopping capital of Taipei. Ximending is very known as Night Market street aside from Raohe. There are so many stalls of different brands such as shoes, clothes, bags, etc.

Probably our favourite place we visited in taipei. The boba milk tea and fried chicken is awesome. There are bright lights and street performers and a real clean youthful feel.. well worth visiting

taipei lantern festival, worth to visit and enjoy the moment, the period of the festival time is from 2/17-3/3

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The 2024 Taipei Lantern Festival will be in full swing starting Saturday (Feb. 17) as all 123 lighting installations across the west part of the capital are illuminated.

Spanning venues around the MRT Ximen and Beimen stations, as well as Sec. 1 of Zhonghua Rd., the month-long event extends beyond the traditional Lantern Festival on Feb. 24, the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunar calendar.

I went there last March 3, 2024. It is quite crowded but the place and the vibes is good.

The Ximending Walking District in February was a lively and exciting place to be. The streets were bustling with people exploring shops, enjoying street performances, and indulging in delicious street food. The vibrant atmosphere, colorful signage, and diverse entertainment options made it a fantastic spot to soak in Taipei's urban culture. Whether day or night, Ximending offered an immersive and vibrant experience for visitors.

A hip place with both local and international brand outlets. Right outside of Ximen Metro Station - Blue line. Lots of local eateries along the street. Ximending walking street can be termed as Times Square of Taipei.

Loved the area! So much to see and do! I was so distracted I didn't take many photos! If you enjoy shopping this is a great area!!

Busy area specially at night. Most of the stores opens late in the afternoon til late night. So its better to go around at night.

I love the atmosphere here. The streets are crowded. I never had enough time for wandering around.

Many shops open after 11 a.m. and if you want to take photos at the rainbow cross road, you should come in the morning.

One of Tawian's must go to night market! ^^ great food, easy access whether ur walking or commute, Tons of souvenir, branded products, and so much more.

Cool area, so much to see and do. Spent some time in the Japanese stores and had a great time trying some drinks and arcades.

Lively place filled with younger crowds but also lots of historical places and authentic food!
