Mini Japan, beautiful place with many shops, had mini coffee shop quite expensive but taste is delicious. There is one shop near the entrance had amazing umeshu, reasonable price especialy so good.. wanna go there just for umeshu ^^

Amazing with Japanese house style. The atmosphere is clean. You might come here at the sunset for having beautiful view.

Very nice place to hangout or spent an afternoon doing nothing but relaxing. It’s spacious and with a lot of gift or coffee shops. I have to say that the store design is not as stylish as I saw in Taipei or other richer cities, but if you put aside the artist’s mind for a bit, all is good for this small village.

Beautiful Cultural place to visit. The village is pretty big with cafes, snacks, gift shops and plenty of beautiful scenery for photos. Definitely a place to visit when in Chiayi, Taiwan 🇹🇼 wheelchair / child stroller friendly ♥ many clean bathrooms ✨✨

Beautiful destination with many small stalls, which sell food and souvenirs. Recommending to come here on an empty stomach so you can try out all the good food and drinks.

Interesting place to come for a stroll and buy some snacks or souvenirs. Not everything here is pricey. Some shops selling their signature biscuits or snacks are price the same elsewhere.

Very Big area with wide ranges of items that you can choose from. Especially looking for souvenirs for friends and colleagues.

Some may have repeated items but each shop are unique in what they sell and all are worth purchasing. Yes it is a touristist area but there are also locals there which favour the items.

Purchase some handmade handy craft items as well as some cute ornaments as well as cafe and food places to rest from all the shopping. There is confirm something that you will spend on.

We do make a second trip to see if we miss out anything we wanted 🤪🤪🤪

It is a traditional Japanese architecture made of the cypress wood which ChiaYi is well known for. Full of little tiny cute things, can spend a good time scrolling around the shops. Don't worry they don't hard sell to you, generally very polite & friendly. Free entrance!

It’s a very beautiful place to visit. It’s free of cost. You can find many shops here. Food shops to souvenir shops. In the middle there is a cute little lake. Overall it’s a good place for a small tour!!

We really enjoyed the thought and experience of the Japanese culture houses and the way they lived. It is free entrance. We were especially grateful that there is prayer room for Muslims to pray at A23, Alhamdullillah, eventhough it's inside the A22 cottage.

Japanese style wooden buildings make up this historic area in this town.
The buildings are shops that sell souvenirs, wooden crafts and some are cafes with a bit of food as well. You can even hire a kimono from one of the shops to wear .
Worth a visit if you're in the area and like small local craft shops and a casual place to chill. Not a bad place for taking a few photos.

Nice place to visit. The village have forestry culture, environmental education, craft design, and cultural creativity. The exterior of the building is in the form of the Japanese-style.

This is a very interesting, well preserved and clean little Japanese village showing parts of history within Taiwan. There are art shops, eateries, food products and shops producing cotton towels, souvenirs and clothes. I bought cotton towels as the quality felt really comfy to the touch. I loved the gardens, photography exhibition and the wishing area - write your wish on a piece of wood and hang it in the wishing area. Its nice to keep this part of the culture.

Beautiful and loving place to visit if you are in Chiayi. Lot of very nice bontique shops and the place offers many photo perfect opportunity to capture great memories with love one.

We arrived late-30 minutes to closing time so we didn't have a lot of time to look around. It's a quiet and beautiful place. Alot maybe 2 hours when exploring this place esp if you intend to eat or drink in any of the shops
