Not an upscale place, but solid home made food for a fair price. Also vegetarian and vegan options. You see what you get.

Great restaurant near Taksim in Istiklal. Really reasonable price (260 tl for 2 people), delicious food and good atmosphere.

One of the best restaurants in İstiklal, it's not in main Street but it's cheap , very delicious, fresh.
If you want to have free tea , on the second floor after eating and putting back your tray in specific area , you can have free tea ;)
About foods , if you want to try the same food in İstiklal ST, you have to pay double.
So for sure don't miss this restaurant.

This is a place where locals mostly eat. Me and my family likes to eat where locals frequent most so we will know the culture at it's best. And truly this is a gem hidden just a stone's throw away from Istiklal Caddesi where most of the shops are expensive and overrated. We love the food and it is really cheap. We got a lot of dishes for 40tl and it's a total for 3 people already. We love it and we kept coming back during our stay in Beyoglu. The food is delicious and you got a variety to choose from. It is better than looking at a menu where u don't actually know what's coming to be served on ur plate. Now that we are far from IST, my family and i missed this local cafeteria (lokantasi). Highly recommended!

A nice place where you can be sure that everything that you eat is delicious.
The staff is friendly, the restaurant and everything is really clean, food is always fresh.
I’m was a kind of person that would never go eat in a local place (I was thinking that the food is no good or that hygiene is not at it’s best) but after my friends insisted to go there I was so happy that my opinion of this places was so wrong. This place opened my eyes for a whole new way where to eat when I travel.
We have been in that area of the city for 4 days and at least once daily we ate at this restaurant and every time the quality was high and nothing was wrong or not tasty.
The place is really clean and everyone (from staff to clients) are really polite.

Definitely a place where to eat if you are in the area.

Super delicious Lokanti! There is a good variety of different dishes. It is like home cooked food - basic, affordable, healthy and delicious. Prices are super fair, the quality is good and since it is not on a big touristic street you always find a seat. Locals eat here!

Excellent inexpensive cafe. Many individual dish choices. Very good food. Main and side dishes are excellent. Good selection of desserts. Perfect for vegan and vegetarian choices: lentil soup, chickpeas (garbanzo beans), salad, spinach, bread, fruit. Highly recommend. Ate here twice. July 2021.

Very good and fresh, delicious homemade meals. Excellent and clean restaurant. Owner Mr Bulent is helpfull and carismatic a man. Around taksim not possibble to find like here. Recommended everyone !!

I have ate there multiple times in 2014 2015 2016 2017, every time I go there staff are nice, place is clean and food is really good and healthy plus you would find different things on menu every day.

Looking forward to eat there when I visit Turkey this year.

Locals eat there all the time. Tons of variety. We ate there every night. The cheapest prices given the area close to Istikbal street and Taxim square.

Turkish home made food good price

The food is lush! All turkish dishes and the price is unbelievable... I go twice a day when I am in Istanbul. Lunch and dinner could be cheaper than 7 €, both together. You have soups, rice, meat, salats, Turkish deserts like Baklava and all so affordable.
