Galata Konak Cafe & Restaurant

The food is very nice, we had 2 sandwiches and 2 desserts. The terrace is amazing and the view is breathtaking. You can see the Galata Tower in front of you and overlook the Bosphorus. The prices are okay, it's very affordable. The waiter was really nice, the place is very clean.

Come here for the views. Maybe not the best tea and cake in the world, but you get similar views as going up the Galata tower for 1/3 or less of the price (plus cake!). Like... no brainer. Accessibility info: climb about 1 flight of stairs, go up an elevator, climb another flight of stairs.

While I was in Turkey (January) I came here for a few mornings to enjoy tea and bakery delights. Compared to other places the prices here were significantly cheaper to other cafes and restaurants.

I really enjoyed the cookies, square pastry (with cheese in the middle), the ekler, and the bread with banana crème.

I liked that all the things had a good amount of sweetness and weren’t too sweet.

This cafe is located near Galata Tower and has some amazing views of the city. Great place for coffee and dessert.

Great view over the east and west of Istanbul while having a drink and some sweets. It’s a bit of a walk up hill to get there, but the view is well worth it, next to the quite to watch life go by.

5 star for the view from the terrace of Konak Hotel, very vintage vibe, a local guide recommended this to me.. he said this is a same view as Galata.. I don’t know how the views are different but the view from here is exceptional.. you’ll see the entire skyline of istanbul.. it’s a must go.. the bakery has a limited menu.. we had cheese cake and lemon tea.. both were good.. very reasonable for the view

If you want to get rid of the people watching the Galata view and write a Galata tower story yourself, it is an incredible place, all of Istanbul is under your feet, a romantic place, retro decoration, self-service, no grill types, only sandwiches, desserts and soft drinks

A great spot if you want a panoramic view of Istanbul and a sweet treat! It is beautiful at sunset and has a lift to take you up to the top floor.

The staff are really friendly and English-speaking!

Rooftop restaurant when you can enjoy your breakfast with an open view to the posphrous .. full breakfast menu is a set menu other wise you can enjoy bakery or desert with your coffee or tea

It makes you see the Bosphorus from a new and very wide angle, and the place is quiet, elegant and beautiful

Doesn't matter how much the drinks are, because of the lovely chilled out vibe and of course the views (although the drinks are pretty cheap anyway)

The view and turkish coffee are spectacular and you can forgive thus place for it's really poor food selection (just sandwiches and fries). After this cafe there's really no need to queue for Galata tower...
