You cannot come to istanbul and not visit this Gem. Absolutely delicious food, cozy vibes, and friendly staff. I wish I have more days in Istanbul to visit again.

A café with a authentic story crossed from Africa to the Ottoman Empire and three generations long. A very cozy, sweet small place! Special with the interior and vintage design. Here you can enjoy a delicious coffee during your walk through Galata and arround. Staff is really friendly and helpfull. Recommended👌 @Selontour

The place is lovely and waitresses are super nice.
The signature desert has an interesting texture, it may not be everyone's taste but it's worth a try! Plus prices are really allright compared to the other cafes around!
Really recommend.

Very stylish place! Nice atmosphere, it feels like with time machine you got back to the beginning of 20th century :) Turkish breakfast is good! We took 2 for both of us, but didn't finish it. I think it's enough to share one of you don't want to overeat )

This old establishment has been doing business for 3 generations.
Turkish coffee is served in antique coffee cups and the food is delicious.
Definitely worthwhile to be there.

Amazing breakfast. My fiancee and I ordered the shared breakfast for two and it was so delicious. After, we ordered Turkish coffee and we were asked to choose which vintage teacup (some date back to the 50s)to drink from - very nice touch! The staff were extremely hospitable, and the vibe of the cafe is homely and cosy. One of the best cafes in Istanbul.

This place is great. We went twice for the most amazing breakfast. Everything is tasty (some assortiments are also homemade) and pretty for the eyes also. They let you choose an antique cup for your turkish coffee. Staff speaks english and is very polite. Totally recommend!
P.s don't miss their homemade halva

Cosy spot for some breakfast. Great service too, the decor is very cute it's a small place so go early before the locals come in. A great place in Galata which has a variety of options, but this is definitely worth trying! Menemen and Turkish tea, best combination to start the day

Absolutely a stunning place to have a traditional turkish breakfast. Everything is delicious without a doubt. The customer service is ten stars. Came with my wife and we had an excellent experience. I bought a jar of Zattar and very excited to bring back to Canada.

Highly recommend this quaint little café! Their cheese omelette is the BEST OMLETTE I'VE EVER HAD.
Simple menu, great food and coffee. Recommend the cheese omelette and scrambled eggs with tomato and peppers.

Unique atmosphere. You will find this place either by great chance or by looking thoroughly, it has a small entrance but since the very first step you will find yourself in a parallel universe. French old music playing and an ambiance that recall Montmartre’s vibes. Took a Turkish coffee and a small sweet that filled some time in our Galata tour. Good choice in furnishing the place and I really liked the part where you chose your cup after hearing a brief historic intro of each. Just go there and get transported!

Had a lovely traditional Turkish breakfast at Velvet Cafe. Great service and a nice mix of vintage furniture and a modern menu card (with polaroids!). A great first impression of Istanbul for us!
