The food was amazing and the lamb was definitely the highlight! We ate here on our first night in Turkey, and after ten days of traveling around different parts of Turkey, we decided to come back here for our final meal before departing back to our home country. All the mezze were very well seasoned, and the grilled meats were absolutely sublime. The grilled chicken was flavorful and juicy, but the star of the show were the lamb chops!

Lovely local restaurant nestled away in a back street off the main thoroughfare but easily reached. We tried the mixed cold mezes served with a lovely rocket salad in pomegranate molasses which I managed to buy from the restaurant together with simit and a salt and cumin dipping mixture. Divine!

A wonderful restaurant you must visit in Istanbul. One of the best meals I have ever had and the staff was very polite. Bravo!!!

We walked in without a reservation and the place was heaving, which is always a good sign! After a 10minute wait we were fortunate enough to get a table. Although they were super busy the service was outstanding. Suleman could not have been more helpful. The food was excellent. We especially recommend you try and cheese dessert- insane! Very reasonable prices too. Would definitely go back.

Amazing kebap dishes, grilled to perfection. Mezze are amazing, too. Without a doubt an awesome place if you like meat and the Turkish cuisine. A little more expensive than most places around, but definitely worth every penny due to the high quality, great service and higher standard.

Delicious food every time I visit Istanbul I would eat here at least twice.

I read about this restaurant in a famous travel guide, they said here there is the best “sis et” of Istanbul.
I booked a table for two people. The building is near Galata Tower, I looked for the entrance (not so visible) with the map.
We ate different types of kebab, it was very tasty. They always serve sauce and vegetables on the side.
They were very quickly and we spent about 20€ a head for a starter and two second courses. It’s the best place we ate.

This place is very special, and I highly recommend coming here when you're in Istanbul. We were here late February and were amazed at how incredible the food was. The owner came by and warmly greeted us, as well as the service was excellent. The food pictures speak for themselves! The area is full of beautiful cafes, bars, and sightseeing, so it's a great area to spend the full day.

Food is super good but then i find the price alao increase 100% compared with the photos of menu i saw in google reviews

Best local food that we have tried in Istanbul. Located not on the touristic street, has rather simple interior, however the service is great, we had a change to speak to the owner and he was lovely. And the prices are good!

This place was too good - wow! Friendly service, cold beer, warm environment and sensational food. We split a wrap and beef sis between us and it was unreal. The plates went back completely licked clean. Make sure you book a table because it was completely full by the time we left

I could not have been happier with choosing this restaurant for a lovely evening with friends. Great environment and hosts who are friendly and engaging. The food is cooked hot wood coals that can see from the dining area. The appetisers are visually appealing and surprise you in different ways with bursts of flavor. Great spot.

Very nice restaurant and so far the best food I had in the city. Tasty, to the point, very good selection of meat. The service is fast and the staff is very welcoming.

Excellent service and incredible local fare at honest prices – given it's central location and proximity to the Galata tower and busy Istiklal street. Definitely get the mezze platter to try a bit of everything, and you can't go wrong with the grilled meat. Will definitely be coming back!

Great Turkish gastronomy. The quality of the products is really good (the meat is really tender). High standard in a very nice decorated restaurant and with really friendly staff!

All the meze were delicious and with very varied flavours and all the meat was amazing quality and very well cooked.
Our lovely waiter Suliman was the perfect host and we had a wonderful experience!

Amazing food, brilliant service. Impressed by every single dish I tried, but the desserts... we took all three to share that were on the menu and all three of them were off the charts!! Young walnut with ice cream, their traditional sweet cheese dish and some kind of pumpkin that made my friend’s day. No doubt would recommend and come back again. Oh wait. And they have a weird sculpture on their wall made of soap. Because why not.

Exceptional. This is the best restaurant we have ever visited here. Süleyman Gülüm guides his kitchen to create gastronomical delights. The flavours give you the Turkish experience you look for. Well done. Amazing.
