Fantastic food with great variety. Very cosy and social as we ended up sharing a table with other dinners since the place was packed.The ordering process was interesting and unconventional. You go to the counter and can chose up to 5 dishes per plate which includes vegetarian and neat options. The meal was comforting, delicious and some of the healthier food you'll find in the area. An absolute gem in an area full of overpriced and tourististc places.

I was recommended to dine here by a friend who had visited Istanbul some time ago. It’s a restaurant that involves selecting 5 options out of many vegan and vegetarian Turkish home style food. At the time I visited, it cost me 160 Turkish lira. You have to order first and then they come to your table to serve you the plate.

Portion size was decent, but did left me full. I had stuffed bell peppers/dolma, mercimek koftesi (lentil balls), beans, okra, and bulgur. The food tasted good. Comes with bread.

Seating is limited, with outdoor and indoor seating spaces. The restaurant is tucked in a vibrant part of the area.

Have been to this place numerous times now and will no doubt return! The people that run it are friendly, genuine and do not try to rip you off. Each time I’ve been in, I’ve asked them to pick me five dishes they recommend… 190TL… can’t beat it!

My second time coming here and the food is so delicious. It tastes very homemade and with the great variety of dishes that they have it’s like you can’t go wrong. I counted at least 15 different dishes to pick from, many of them vegetarian.
Staff is very polite and welcoming. And the price is excellent. Absolutely recommend

My favourite lunch place at Asmalimescit for many many years . There are many vegetrian options where you can try real Turkish tapas and they are really delicious here. You can make choose 5 different types in a plate as a set menu which i always do when i am around😎 I really suggest turkish rice with mushrooms and vegetable graten. Also try kisir which is very famous Turkish dish. If you are lucky, you can find a table at outside at a sunny weather. Also i like the long table at window side.. strongly suggested from a local🥰 Also prices are very affordable compared to nearby restaurants

The most delicious spot if you wanna try what turkish people eat at home, they have a lot vegan and vegetarian options.
I’d recommend you to try chard and beet with yoghurt.
You can choose little bit from everything.

Amazing food in a cute little corner shop with a perfect location. They have at least 15 varities of food you can pick 5 or fewer from to fill a plate and having been here multiple times, I can say that all of their food is amazing. Meat options are usually chicken curry and meatballs but their vegetarian options prove that you don't need to eat meat here. Everything is much healthier than fast food while keeping the same price or even cheaper and you leave here feeling good. Drinks are limited to water, mineral water, ayran and soft drinks. There is also a single bathroom and they take cash, card and meal cards such as Setcard (very cool). Highly recommend for tourists and for locals passing by

One of the best places that I have eaten at in Istanbul. Home cooked fresh food, with excellent service at reasonable prices.

Amazing place offering tasty home-cooked food. One can choose up to 5 options out of 20+ warm and cold dishes, gratins, mezes and more. I had curry chicken, green beans, leafy greens, potato and mushroom rice which was such a yummy combo. The atmosphere is laid back and perfect for people watching in Galata, the space is nicely crowded, I feel like this is the local canteen that everyone loves for a solid meal. We paid 130₺ p. p.

A lot of the vegetarian/vegan-oriented restaurants around are very overpriced and clearly charging european/american prices. But here the food is amazing and the price is still reasonable (~$10 USD for a good meal)

You choose 5 items and it comes on a plate with bread. Nice flavours and good vegetarian options too.

This was my favourite place to eat homemade local vegan dishes around Galata. The food variety was the most I've seen and also the price for value was great. The atmosphere is also historic and the people were friendly. Highly recommend this place

I would give this 6 stars if I could. I absolutely love vegetables, Turkish food, and home cook style restaurants and this place 100% delivers on this. I’ve eaten here a few times now, and plan to go back. You choose 5 options for your plate, and pay 50 TL. Excellent value for quality food. Also in a fun part of town to walk around.

Still one of the best places in the area to have a dinner. Food is tasty, stuff is friendly and polite. A huge variety of different food options (and you can try at least five of them on one dish). Prices are more than affordable (~74 liras for a dinner). Highly recommend.

Very simple and easy, they hardly speak English but they are friendly enough. Not a tourist trap. Many vegetarian options to choose from the little buffet, but also some meat. Authentic, simple and good food. And incredibly low price!

The price is good, food is delicious, well served, staff is smiley & kind. That is the only place i’d like to take my friends to have lunch/dinner. They are open till 9pm, closed on sundays.

Amazing food! Vegan and Vegetarian options available. Inside heat is great and smells amazing. Staff is very nice too.

Price was 190 TL for 5 different items. Pretty good for such a touristy area.
