Pendik Carsi Mosque

Pendik Çarşı Mosque, located between Gazi Paşa Street, Namık Kemal Street, 23 Nisan Street and Pazar Street in Pendik, was built in 1958.
It was built as a church on the land where the mosque is located in 1886 with the contribution of non-Muslims from Istanbul, and 1 year later, the church was called "our temple until eternity" at the opening attended by all the priests of Istanbul, but with the 1924 Exchange, non-Muslims migrated and the church was closed for service. The empty building was used as a tobacco warehouse until 1956.
An additional building, 100 square meters larger than the main building, was built to the left of the mosque in 1992. While there was a single-balcony minaret to the right of the last congregation place in the first years, this minaret was demolished in the 1990s and the construction of a new minaret with two balconies was started to the left of the last congregation place of the annex building. Although this minaret, which was damaged in the earthquake of 17 August 1999, was not completed yet, it was completely demolished, and the present minaret with two balconies was built. In 2012, a second minaret with two balconies was built on the right side of the mosque.

Pendik Bazaar is a really nice place for shopping! There are a lot of small shops when prices are so available and great quality of clothes. İ come to bazaar often. There are also many cafe and restaurants here on the coast and coast is green and beautiful

The place for women is so big and there is a seperate abdest area.It is a central mosque ,easy to reach.
