Marmaris National Park

Great place, very interesting Nimara cave

A stunning park that surrounds Marmaris and reminds us of what this whole coast used to look like before tourists showed up.

On the map it looks like there are no trails, and indeed nothing is marked.

What looks like a road in Google maps turns out to be (often) a dirt road with no traffic on it except locals walking and often leaving their rubbish around (carry it out people!!!).

You can talk back here amongst the wild boar and dirt tracks until at least İçmeler.

Beautiful part of Marmaris/Icmeler often missed by the masses of tourists. Wonderful views but heavy climbing in parts. Path from Icmeler to Turunc is stunning.

Nature here so beautiful! but people destroy beauty by their presence, contaminating everything after them with plastic bottles, various garbage. Protect the environment. try to take the trash.

amazing lamdscape there. took a quad and explored the area. sometimes you come to spots, where you think you are in the deepest jungle and noone has been there before. amazing.

Picturesque nature area with lots of hiking trails and, specially boats trips to explore amazing coastal line around.
The boat trips one can find & rent in local charter companies in Marmaris marinas, normally for one week from Saturday to Friday night.
There are boats with #accessibility if needed.
Hiking trails are lack of accessibility options.

A real must for motorised tourists and for really experienced bicycle fans. Outside of overcrowded Marmaris, its pine forests and secluded small towns, bays, and beaches give you the opportunity to relax in pristine truly Mediterranean lanscapes.

One of the very special plants grow in the Marmaris National Park; Liquidamber Oreantalis (sweetgum tree, in local name; sıgla or günlük tree). The oil of the tree is used in the medicine industry as well as cosmetics. The world famous Tiziana Terenzi parfumes (Italy) uses the essence of the tree in their products. In the past, the seeds and peels were burnt for nice smell in antique Egypt for funerals&special days. Today, the amber forest in the National Park is known to relax human brain. Must see!

Excellent coastline, clear waters in peaceful and relaxing location

Well preserved natural national park But the problem is with the information signs only in Turkish language such make difficult for tourists to understand wish in the future English language will be added to the sings.

I explored area on bicycle. Went riding from Marmaris to Tulunz through the park. Amazing coastal forest and great ride...i gained 500 m total elevation...though ride but wonderful views from the top...

Take a boat trip and you could see one of these beautiful turtles come right up to your boat.
