Local eatery whose menu changes every day. We had a nice selection of 4 vegetable dishes and a main. All dishes were quite fresh and felt like a mix of local and at times european food. We also had the BEST hummus I’ve ever had.
Service was great and the waitress spoke English which definitely helped.

Would highly recommend!

This is a perfect example of a hole in the wall diner with limited seating, a changing menu, and staff that care and add a personal touch to the experience. The soup was perfect, and I could not recommend the yogurt and kebab (didn’t get the name) dish. Everything was perfectly cooked and flavorsome to both our liking. We over ordered, but 200 per person is pretty normal. Please visit this lovely restaurant!

We came here for dinner, and though the menu options were limited (due to being sold out), there were plenty of delicious options available! We had fantastic meatballs on some bread, slow cooked beef, soups, and vegetables.

The wait stop was very kind and helpful and the ambiance inside the restaurant is cozy.

Highly recommend. Went twice during my short stay in Istanbul. The menu is written in Turkish but the owner speaks English and tells you what they have for the day. The food was very nice and home food like which we enjoyed a lot. Had their fish quiche, schnitzel, orange poppy seed cake and chicken pilaf which were all super tasty. Definitely revisiting if going back to Istanbul.

Nice food great hosts. Try the deserts, it changes day by day. We happen to have the milk pudding which is really tasty and actually does taste healthy too (if there is ever such a dessert)

The food here is really special! The menu changes each day. Every dish is made with so much care. Nothing is industrially produced. I visit there every chance I get! And I want to taste everything they have to offer because it's always SO SO GOOD! Not to mention the polite and helpful staff, they make it an experience worth while!

Decor: Lovely setting, tastefully rustic, modern, hygienic, minimalist.
Staff: Waitress is super polite and professional. The Patrons are two gregarious, kind, friendly, polite, warm hearted and clearly know their stuff quite well !
Food: The four mixed cold appetizers were truly an epicurian's dream. Everytime the food is superb from the cold to the warm dishes. €12 Sole was without a doubt the best sole I ate in my life in Turkey. It is served with a wonderful salad dressing and salad. Overall an exceptional dish ! €1.29 Pancar (beetroot) soup with roasted almond flakes was perfect. It's thicker than a borscht and tastier. €5.49 Steamed fish with rocket and red rubin basil (reyhan) drizzled with a salad dressing was spectacular ! The epitome of an epicurean dish. Sarikanat with an impeccable salad dressing on top of one of the best corn bread I ate in my life. The Quincy celery soup was a lovely too. The €12.43 Crispy Turkey with raisins and pasta was unexpected. Surely the best turkey ever. The raw beetroot, pineapple salad was simply perfect!
Overall: Super cheap prices for the setting, service and food you get. Price ratio is it for sure the best place to eat in Karakoy, no doubt about that. Highly recommended !

This was an accidental stop for lunch based on a pleasant the view from the sidewalk. It was perfect. Small, cozy, English-speaking staff, and food with wonderful flavors made for a perfect lunch.

Cute and delicious! So fresh and tasty. We had lentil soup and shared several of their veggie mezes (which change every day!). Our favorite was lentil fava with fig. Lots of veggie and vegan options. The people are very friendly too. A great place for lunch!

Absolutely loved the place and the food.
The menu changes everyday it's very fresh and is really special food (as opposed to what you find in that area).

Worth giving it a try!

five star is not enough to define taste food lokanta mini has to offer. But unfortunetly 5star is the highest rate i can give here. Small cosy and modest restaurant with friendly owners/cheifs/cooks they also come and speak with you as a person.
Definetly recommended

Have you seen the 5 stars rating from Lokanta Mimi's hundreds of satisfied customers?

Yep, this place is just *that* good. Like a hard-working, straight A student, they truly deserve their 5 stars badge of honor.

Obviously, the food was great- the team behind Lokanta Mimi clearly understand and handle their ingredients well. Even their chai was great- it's a small thing that for me, signals great attention to detail.

They rotate their menu frequently. While it was written in turkish, the owner, who speak fluent english, do not mind explaining each items to us.

Fantastic small restaurant in the heart of Karaköy, one street off the main restaurant and shopping area. The dishes are homey, upgraded versions of traditional local dishes, not the basic grill food you get in most Turkish restaurants. We ordered two stews, one with eggplant and beef and one with peppers and beef, and we were blown away by the taste (the quick pictures we snapped do not do the food justice!). We also tried the beetroot salad, which was very tasty. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner for a very reasonable price, and the menu changes every day. The menu is only presented in Turkish, but the charming waiter helpfully translated the entire menu into English for us. Generally the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Lokanta Mimi is definitely worth a visit if you are in Karaköy or the Galata area!
