Mürver Restaurant

Really delicious Michelin guide restaurant with a view of the Bosporus. We were able to make a last minute reservation and we had a lovely meal. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. My favorite menu items were the main chicken dish and the pickles that came with the sucuk plate. The chicken meal was one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had in years and I will return here often to enjoy it again and again!

Was recommended this restaurant and it was certainly pleasant - the food was quite good (menu varies based on season and is fairly short, so it can be a bit hit or miss what is available, but it’s definitely fresh). I really enjoyed the octopus. They had some great lamb as well.

Mostly the service stood out though. Our waiter Kerem was extremely helpful and friendly and made the dinner a memorable experience from Istanbul. Can recommend this place on the staff alone! Cheers

Very very lovely location and great food. Usually am skeptics about sea food but this was just delicious and fresh.

We started with the duck and calamari for starters. both were amazing and we totally recommend.

We next went with the seafood stew and the sea bass with a spicy sauce. Also absolutely delicious.

The highlight of that meal was their pomegranate cocktail though. their gin was infused with pomegranate and they made a cocktail out of it which was amazing.

The food was great although not amazing. However, I may have picked the wrong dishes. Sitting at the chefs table, I could see what else was prepared and it was mouth watering. Service top notch from the staff/chef with explanation of each dish.

Was here for the dinner as we just finished our spa in Novotel.
We ordered lamb fillet and sea trot. Both dishes were delicious, Lamb and fish were cooked perfectly.

Staying at The Peninsula, they recommended going here. It’s on the rooftop of Novotel Hotel. Nice restaurant, great view! We did not have a reservation but we were able to sit right down in the balcony bar area and eat. Food and drinks were pretty quick, cool atmosphere. Gluten free was accommodated. Get the peach appetizer! 🍑

An extraordinary experience in Istanbul. We came with a lot of expectations and they were all fulfilled and beyond! Food was just perfect. There are options for those who do not eat meat (my personal favorite was gambilya fava!) and of course the Octopus and ördek topik are also a must try!

Cocktails are crazy good and waiters always provide great recommendations. They are super helpful and attentive.

The view is absolutely breathtaking and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for our anniversary.

I have to say that in general, prices are fair for the quality of what you get. Definitely recommend it and I would love to come back.

We had a great dinner. The place itself is a bit crowded and touristy, but the dishes and cocktails were really tasty.

We randomly wandered into this restaurant when there was no place at another restaurant we wanted to go and it might have been the best thing that happened to us.

As mains we had beef cheek, fish of the day (sea bass) and the jumbo grilled shrimps. Such amazing food, to die for!

We sat at the kitchen bar area and loved it. This is the real view. We got to see the staff work their magic during dinner. The chef checked on us often, made recommendations, and had us try a few things. Fantastic experience 💕

I booked for two - to celebrate a special date with my mom, but I made a mistake in booking a day later. We were offered a table on the terrace in the cocktail area and we didn’t regret it one bit - it had a stunning view and we sat comfortably together at a high table. The hostess and waiter were friendly and helpful.

The lamb for two was very tasty and tender, but we were even more impressed by the side dish. Both in presentation and taste - excellent.

The unusual cocktails complemented our excellent experience at this restaurant.

We paid about 130 euros for dinner for two. The atmosphere, food, and enjoyment were worth it.

A fantastic spot for dinner and drinks right by Galataport. We ordered the grilled calamari and duck hummus as starters, and the sea bass for our main. This ended up being plenty for two people.

The sea bass was the highlight. The skin was perfectly crisp and the fillet itself was juicy and well-seasoned. The calamari and duck hummus were also quite tasty.

Service was attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with a scenic view of the Bosporus. Imagine it’s also a great spot if you’re just looking to grab drinks (the cocktails were excellent).

Overall, a bit on the pricier side but definitely recommended for anyone looking for an upscale seafood spot.

This restaurant was the highlight on a city trip to Istanbul. We had the tasting menu and it all was delicious. I found the restaurant on the Michelin guide and they are definitely right to recommend it. The wine selection was great. The waiters were very friendly. The place has a very nice vibe with a big open terrace. The DJ was playing the perfect tunes. If in Istanbul must visit!

Karaköy is preferred by İstanbul residents for nightlife and dining. Karaköy gained it’s prior popularity, especially after Galataport opened. One of the most preferred places in Karaköy is Mürver; a succesful chef restaurant. Both locals and tourists are charmed to the atmosphere of Mürver because it is so warm, cozy. Also Mürver Restaurant has a great view.

The mentor of Mürver Restaurant is Mehmet Gürs, the chef and creator of the most famous restaurant Mikla in İstanbul, so the cuisine is excellent in Mürver Restaurant. Fresh ingredients are used for foods and the menu changes according to the season.

The restaurant’s wood oven and grill are where the majority of the meals are prepared. They develop various culinary methods and regional dishes using local products. In Mürver Restaurant, the middle of the plate is intended for sharing the starter and the main course. The restaurant’s menu includes about 20 items, almost like a tasting menu. They are all wonderful and worth trying.

There are also classical dishes like “Trakya Kıvırck” and asg grilled octopus. The menu changes frequently, but this dishes have remained the same and become the restaurant’s signature dishes. Additionally, “Yanık Sütlaç,” one of their delicacies; is constantly available. This place is successful in cocktails as well as food. You can also come just to drink a cocktail and enjoy the view.

Went there for dinner on our only night in Istanbul and absolutely loved it! Was here exactly 4 years ago, and the experience is still awesome. Great food, excellent views, and exceptional service. The restaurant is always full, so making a reservation in advance is necessary, especially if you want a table on the terrace. Everything we ordered was good. If you're going in a group, perfect! You can order many of the items on the menu to share, so that you can try as much as possible. The local wines are great too. The only thing to take note is that if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, you might want to request for a table that is further away from the terrace. Our table was the first indoor table next to the terrace, so the cigarette smoke was quite suffocating. Other than that, it's a great restaurant worth trying in Istanbul.

Excellent restaurant with traditional Turkish recipes presented in an innovative way. We composed our meal with a wide selection of starters to try different things. Everything was full of flavours, fresh and beautifully presented. We finished our dinner with a scrumptious warm pistachio burek which melted with every bite! The atmosphere was very pleasant. Spacious and with gorgeous views. The service was high class. It was a perfect dinner for our last night in Istanbul.
