Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamam

TL;DR - If you’re hesitating to try the Turkish Bath experience at Kiliç Ali Paşa, you should book it. (Book before you go, it’s very easy online)

My wife and I spent 6 days in Istanbul and we wanted to top it off with a relaxing spa experience. Our choice was between the Hotel spa massage, or going into town for a Turkish Bath. I’m very happy we chose the later.

For bookings, I dropped my wife off at 13:30 during the Women’s hours. She had the Turkish Bath and 50-min Massage and left beyond satisfied.

In the meantime I had coffee and relaxed in Galataport, a very nice area on the water 2-min walk from the Hamam.

I then went for my Turkish Bath at 16:30.

Overall fantastic experience for both of us, we were well taken care of by the staff there, and agreed that we’d attend regularly if one was near where we lived!

I highly recommend it if you're in town. I paid 1950 Lyra for a traditional session, and it was definitely worth it. I recommend booking online. Faizy my massage specialist (I hope I'm pronouncing it right) took great care of me and was absolutely amazing. The massage was not only a great physical experience but also a spiritual one, reminiscent of the feeling of your first baby bath. I've had massages in Thailand and Japan before, and I always thought nothing could top them. However, I think this experience might have changed my mind. Thank you, guys!

My first time to a hammam and it was great. The location is beautiful; historic but very clean. You are guided throughout your journey and made to feel very welcome. I had the hammam and then a full body massage so was there for about 2 1/2 hours total. They operate single sex at different times. I went at 1645 for the men's time (on a Tuesday); there were a few people around but very relaxed. I booked on the same day I went. Overall, an amazing Turkish experience and worth it.

This is my first time visiting Istanbul and this place is a must go to. We got the traditional hammam package which I highly recommend especially if it’s your first time. The ladies working there are super nice. The experience includes a bit of a massage. After you’re done, you can order tea (you have to pay extra) and relax in your towel in the area shown in the photo.

This place was fantastic! It was recommended by a local and I enjoyed everything about it. Very professional and courteous staff. I appreciated the women’s only hours. I had the Turkish bath experience with the scrub and bubbles followed by a 50 min massage. Total price 4200 lira. I was there for just about 3 hours.
Recommended to bring your own swimsuit bottoms. Make a reservation a day or two in advance!

My favorite place in Istanbul😍, coming to Turkey and not going to a hammam should be illegal! It's a fantastic experience. We had the Hamman and a 60-minute massage afterward, and everything was incredible! Their service is outstanding, perfect for relaxing and having a good time with some friends! The building is also magnificent. Make sure to book ahead of time because it gets really busy!

Relaxing clean and the ladies are so nice and everything is organised 10/10. Before i came a did an online reservation that was very easy to do. It gets more crowded around 2 and the ladies said it’s better to come on weekdays early to get a more relaxing experience. The welcoming drink and tea were both delicious too.

Normally I take more care while taking pictures. Not this time. Sorry, was too relaxed to bother. Now I know what is hammam - a place where they turn people into happy jellyfish using water, soap and gloves.

An amazing experience!!! Must try! Not gonna give spoilers, just know that they use soap (in case you have skin irritation) and rub you well. Very relaxing and refreshing!

We stumbled across this beautiful building and made a reservation for the morning (for ladies). The experience was absolutely wonderful. We were also amazed by how clean everything was. Will definitely return.

Authentic, super clean and cozy Hamam. Perfect place to get new energy and relaxe. Easy to get a slot by WhatsApp or phone call.

My 10 yo daughter and I had a great experience at Kilic Ali Pasa Hamam.

We were greeted on arrival, treated to a tasty sherbet drink, then provided with a key for the locker and instructions.

We had a warm welcome by one of the assistants inside the actual bathing area.

Then we were led to the actual washing area. The service was provided by two wonderful ladies Seda and Didem (sorry for spelling if incorrect). They were asking questions along the way about whether the pressure was okay, the water warm enough, etc.

The service wasn't rushed in any way, our assistants were very nice and lovely.

My daughter and I really did have a wonderful experience.

This was the best wellness experience I’ve ever had. The hamam is located in a beautiful building. The staff is exceptional friendly and the hamam ritual as well as the massage were perfect.

I chose this place based on the reviews - I was looking for a clean hammam as there are many old ones which are not in a good condition. It was a little hard to find because it’s right where the mosque is so keep going it’s there.

It’s essential you book online so you are not disappointed. It’s popular and spots fill up quickly. Women are from morning til 4pm when it changes over to men.

Service is fantastic, very welcoming and helpful. We were made to feel comfortable and looked after.

We paid for the hammam, it was very relaxing, the ladies were fantastic and did a great job, walked out feeling super clean. You are led to the main room after that where we relaxed in our towels and drank tea. There are facilities to dry your hair and lockers.

Excellent service, clean, good prices - 10/10 I will visit here again.

Wonderful Turkish hammam experience;
You got to change your clothes with towels and they give a despoil panty if you don’t have any then you go through the hammam by first washing you with water then you lie on a warm marble for 15-20 min and then a service lady will ask you to sit on a designated area. She will first soak you with a loaf and then give you a bobble bath with a light massage then wash you with water. At last, you will be guided to a small room to dry you and wrap you with towels. Then you leave the bath area to the rest area where they would serve you drinks and snacks before you change and leave.

Ladies giving the service are so sweet and gentle.
Place is so clean and instructions are so clear.
Reservation required; not sure if walking in is welcome or not.
Strongly recommended!

I loved the experience having Turkish hamam with my mum. One of the best experience. Othman culture with the music you feel it everywhere. Beautiful

First time trying hamam and I wasn’t disappointed. The hamam facility is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The whole experience start to finish was fantastic. Making an appointment online via the website was easy and response time great.
Yazid was my “hamamer” and he did an amazing job. Every aspect of it was excellent. The massage, the bathing, the bubbles, the drying. Do yourself a favor if you’re in Istanbul and book a hamam at Kiliç Ali Pasa Hamam.

Women and men go in separate times of the day. You go out very relaxed and clean. You don't need to bring anything except for swim suit. You need to book in advance your reservation through their website or phone number.
