Surmeli Istanbul Hotel

I visiythis place in 1996, it was exceptional, I don't know what happened in 2022, dark interior, some rooms have smoke leak(People are smoking and coming to our room, staff are friendly, wish things get better and back to normal.

I would like to mention that all the hotel and restaurant staff were very kind and especially Kazim who served us the best Turkish coffee.
I would recommend offering 2-3 soups for breakfast, which are very suitable for those who have dental treatment.

Been here twice, don't call directly to hotel for reservations because prices are doubled and sales stuff are rude. Buy from hotel booking sites which is much cheaper. Good location, rooms are big but no extras. One of the oldest hotel in the area, it was luxury when it's first lunch but, now it's cash cow for owners, no investment no extras, just good room

Great service, big enough rooms, no noise from the street. 10-15 min walking to the Sesli metro station, one can find as exercise or as too long 😜
Don't listen to those NEGATIVE reviews - 2 new bottles of water in a fridge every day, electric kettle with coffee and tea are there for you. About breakfast - WHY would you €16 extra if plenty of great & cheap food is around??????

The location of the hotel is great; you can easily have access to the shopping center, restaurants, and public transportation. It is not really a 5-star hotel, but the price is fair.
The staff was extremely helpful during my stay. my 5-star rating goes to Dorukhhan. He was the most helpful and polite employee of the Surmeli. Whenever I asked him questions or even wanted to change my room, he approached me patiently in a professional and friendly manner. I would like to see him again on my next visit to this hotel.

Everything is great about this hotel although I'm a bit disappointed they dont make omelettes in the breakfast. Very nice hotel and great food otherwise

I was impressed by some of the staff in the Sürmeli hotel specially with the reception his name is Dorukhan, he was very polite, friendly and helpful all the time. I was staying there for 11 night with my parent, I’ve received such a great customer service from him. If I go back to Istanbul and looking for a hotel I will make sure Dorukhan working there and I will go to the hotel. In my opinion the other staff need to learn from Dorukhan how be welcoming to the customers specially Berrkan.

I stayed at this hotel during 10 days and it was perfect ! The hotel's situation is very good, near the public transportations and you can go everywhere easily ! The staff really takes care of you and the food is good. I clearly recommend you this hotel for a nice travel to Istanbul !

It's a pretty old building. Outside look can be deceiving until you check in. You realize how outdated this hotel is. Breakfast buffet you can't choose, they serve you😭

It was in the perfect location, restaurants and malls near by. There is also a taxi stop across the road . The hotel was very clean , safe and secure and the staff were also friendly. Highly recommend and would stay there again .

I stayed there from 5 nights from 18th June 2022 , the hotel was very good , the staff were very kind , the location is good and very quiet.
I will back there next time in istanbul.

This hotel was my home away from home while I worked in Mecidiyeköy for a year. Its a lovely place with a wide selection of fresh food & drinks, and the rooms are huge. Mecidiyeköy is the main business district in this part of Istanbul so don't expect much local entertainment, there are a few nice local restaurants walking distance from the hotel and if you are that way inclined there is a McDonald's less that 1 minute walk away.

A great Hotel with very helpful and attentive staff. Will be sure to stay here again on my next visit.
