This a one life time experience. We did the dialogue in the dark and it was a lovely experience. At least everyone should try it once in their life. It makes you realize that even though they can not see they are able to face everyday problems like everyone else. The guide was really kind, nice and taking care of us all the time. This is a must experience.

Edition: I liked it so much that after 3 years I have come back to Istanbul and I have tried dialogue in silence and I just can say thank you for letting me feel how their daily life is and taking care of me during the experience. It makes you empathize a lot. Totally recommended again. I have no words you just have to experience it.

I visited the dialogue in silence exhibit. It was really interesting and fun. We were introduced to sign language by playing different games. You really get to realise the challenges deaf people experience in their life as you are trying to explain something, but you can’t because you don’t know how to. But don’t be afraid of that. As the guides themselves are deaf, they are great at explaining with signs. And it is very gratifying when you understand someones language so intuitively. I enjoyed every second in this exhibit. Would recommend you to check it out yourself

Amazing. Only in Turkish FYI (We were not aware of this and so they accommodated us with a wonderful guide who spoke enough English.

They have 2 experiences - one dead and one blind. We did the blind experience and it’s was powerful and unforgettable.

You are taken on an hour long guided journey in the dark to experience the city of Istanbul as a blind person would.

You end with a drink or snack at a “bar”.

Just amazing

A wonderful experience, we did the no hearing part of the museum because we don't speak turkish (for the no seeing one), and it is definitely a very memorable experience. It lasts around 1 hour, the staff and guides are very friendly and helpful. I walked out with more knowledge, perspective, and understanding. It is in Metro Istasyonu. You don't have to go all the way out.

I never had such an experience in my life. What does it feel to be blind? This museum gives you that experience to the upmost. If you are cautious, if you are possible, if you want to be aware don’t miss on this experience.

Great place. İt makes you not only understand but also feel like blind people. Gives you a perspective. They have guides who knows the place and they help you to move forward in the dark. My guide was a really good man. He was blind and talking to him made it easier to understand how they feel. We've talked about how hard to be blind and what can we do about make their lives easier. İt was a great experience for me. You should absolutely go.

There wasn't an English tour so we did the deaf experience instead, it was excellent though. Definitely recommend.

Diaologue in the Dark is an amazing experience totally worth the money. You get a tour in a emulated city of istanbul in total darkness with a tour guide who can see. I recommend this to everyone. I haven't tried it but they also have Dialogue in Silence, that is probably a great experience too.

I LOVEDDDD IT.. it was awesome just to be guided by a blind person snd live the day the way he does live everyday. With its difficultness and insecurities. I was kind of emotional cause it was just so sad and frightening to dont know where you at and be helpless. Ok at this moment you know that there is no danger around and you can walk along a wall in a slow wax. The way you cant walk in istanbul. Cause istanbul is a full and very dinamic city.. so i hurt also a bit my leg causr i was so uncoordinatef. I think people who are also have unpatience to blind person should make tjis experience. Also its for a good reason to go there and pay tjis 30 or 25 lira. Cause blind persons or thief person are working there or other kind of people with handicaps.. so you make your experience and the amount of money wont be for an empty reason

Both the "blind" and "deaf" experiences are amazing. The "deaf" one is more interactive making it the preferred one for groups.

A paradigm shifting experience. You will know how it is to be blind or deaf in this world by this one hour of, ironically, "eye opening" journey

One of the experiences ever. It's not just telling you how life is hard for the blind people also telling you what you have and how important it is.
