Eleos Restaurant

One of the best hidden gems of Istanbul. We were standing in front of the restaurant and couldn’t find as it is on the 3rd floor. But the view is simply fantastic, stuff very nice and polite but barely speaking English. The food is amazing 🤩 try sea buss dishes 🙌🙌🙌 Totally in love with this place 🥰🥰

This restaurant was a great find!
We decided to check out three restaurants nearby to decide which would be the better place to eat with this one being last on our route. We started our search early to ensure we'd get a table at either restaurant sense we didn't have a reservation.
This one ended up being the best option right away just due to it's location with a high view of the city and The Bosphorus Strait (just on the 2nd floor) and it's great cool weather atmosphere having open windows that let in fresh air.
A table was open before their fully booked reservation rush so they sat us and right away we noticed the good vibes. The staff shirts even read "Good Food Good Mood." Which was no exaggeration as the food was very fresh and delicious 😋
Instead of looking at pictures of food (a ploy most commonly used by lousy restaurants) they brought out the actual food for us to look at and pick! Everything we chose was incredibly tasty. After our meal we were given deserts to try on the house so we ordered a Turkish Coffee and a wine. And we immediately loved that we stayed because the desserts were unique and delicious. The sweet cornmeal with ice-cream in the middle was soooo good it took me back to my childhood of eating sweet cornmeal with milk (if you haven't tried this you don't know what you're missing).
I added the few pictures I took though I wish I had taken more. Especially of the amazing staff with their "Good Food Good Mood" shirts!

I know it looks strange walking through an apartment door but when I tell you you won't regret it, you won't regret it!

Super reasonable food, great staff members and delicious mains and desserts especially ending it with their special alcoholic shot and tea!

Will most definitely be visiting every single time I come here!

UPDATE 2024: my 2nd visit and AGAIN it does not disappoint. Thank you to the guys especially Sohret (hope I spelt his name correctly) for his perfect service and welcoming attitude again. He is definitely an all-star and will make your experience even better than it already is.

Great service, amazing food, and fair prices. Variety of fish dishes available. They offered a taste crab pasta and it was really good.
Dessert, tea and shots were complimentary.

I got lucky and was able to get a table without a reservation on a crowded Friday night with a great view of the river.

The staff were very attentive and good on checking in with people. I wanted to try everything so I didn’t order a main dish. Everything was delicious, but the marinated sea bass (I think) was the only thing I didn’t like. Also, don’t order salad to eat more of the good stuff.

I’m not a big fan of seafood, but this was definitely the place to get excellent quality food. My favorite was the mussels and the jumbo shrimp.

Great food, staff, environment, and views!

What a fantastic find this is, it’s on the second floor and the views are absolutely beautiful. I came to the restaurant during sunset and the views over the River Bosporus were incredible.

Now let’s talk about the food. The waiter was so kind to explain to me what the dishes were, and which dishes they didn’t have. Unfortunately, there was a dish I wanted and I didn’t have burg they did a brilliant job in giving me alternative options. At times the service was slow I had to do my best getting waiter’s attention without being rude.

I had grilled squid which was so succulent and tender as a starter. Greek salad which was equally as delicious. I must say all the food was well seasoned and very tasty. They offer salt and pepper on tables but didn’t need to be there. For main course I had grilled sea bream with potatoes. To accompany this I had a glass of house Chardonnay which was a very good one.

They bring water and bread which they include in final bill. This happens all over the world so I’m not surprised. But they were so kind to offer me complimentary semolina cake and ice cream with 2 cups of black tea.

Overall fantastic. I paid 1500TY for one person. This included 250ty tip

If you are looking for a fancy seafood experience in Istanbul, this is the place for you. Amazing fresh food, welcoming and professional staff. Prices are reasonable looking at the quality. The place is super cozy yet fancy at the same time. Staff were so welcoming and offered us complimentary dishes and dessert. Recommended.

Certainly on my personal top spot for a seafood restaurant.
The food was incredible, the staff (Particularly our waiter Selami) were not only friendly, but fun and hospitable even with our 1 year old baby.
And the location is excellent - it's off the beaten track, but opens up to a view of the theatre of the Bosphorus.
Cannot recommend more highly!

The octopus was so good, we ended up ordering 4 protions. Highly recommend the roasted eggplant dip here, it is absolutely delicious. Don't have any more pictures because we are everything so quickly and these are the seconds 😂

This restaurant is not visible from the Main Street. The roof terrace has a great view to the Asian side of Istanbul. The service is very friendly, staff is English speaking and if you like fish this is the perfect place to go. Great evening and a great selection of Raki as well.

The restaurant is located on the second floor of an old building. You wouldn’t know it was there if you weren’t told about it.
Once you come in, you are treated to the most amazing view.
You can seat either on the inside or on their terrace.
The food was very tasteful. We tried the grilled sea bass and it was very fresh.
They gave us many appetizers to taste, they where all on the house.
The staff was extremely nice and courteous. The only con is that their english was not very good, but we managed.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic seafood and atmosphere. I was extremely surprised at how fresh and well prepared all the seafood dishes were. My girlfriend and I had an amazing and welcoming experience! Oktay was super attentive and friendly!!

It was a bit difficult to find at first. Look for entrance that leads to stairs and elevator to 3rd floor! (2nd floor). Very cool view!

We ate at the Beyoglu branch and it was amazing! The staff are so friendly especially Oktay, he was so helpful and we had dishes on the house! The fish is super fresh and delicious. The view is beautiful as well, overall, I definitely recommend you to visit this place in Taksim if you are a seafood lover!

Beautiful Greek restaurant in the heart of Istanbul! The food is fresh, the service is great, the atmosphere is beautiful and the view is stunning. We got some starters, the grilled salmon and Greek salad of course. You will love it! At the end we got complimentary deserts 🔥. And the total price for the lunch surprised us!

It's a nice sweet Aegean style restaurant. All mezes are nice but it's hard to say if any of it was their specialty. Octopus was worth trying. They offer for treats so it's a nice touch. Service is OK but table organization is difficult to understand as they have very limited tables with proper sea view. Make reservation early and ask for sea view.

You come to Eleos for several things:
- the discreet and polite service, yet always there to help navigate among Turkish mezzes.
- the raki-fueled conversation, overlooking the restaurant’s very beautiful point of view.
- a very constant quality of the food, and great flavours - fishes are cooked to perfection, well-selected mezzes are just the perfect way to start your meal
I come to Eleos each time I set food in this city - it became the perfect mix of nostalgia and renewal, and it never disappoints
