Şar Restaurant

The food ranges from classic traditional Turkish house dishes to popular snacks. We had the Pide and it was amazing. The service is courteous, the restaurant is nice and quaint and has an amazing view over Beyazıt square. Definitely recommended for a nice, quick, uncomplicated and affordable lunch.

Tasty food, friendly staff, sometimes they forgot what we ordered but it's fine. We liked it!

We stumbled upon this place during our stay in Istanbul. The food is absolutely amazing and at an excellent price. We were 4 people and paid around 5-6€ each which is very different from all of the tourist traps surrounding this area. We shared 4 different dishes! As a tourist, it’s best to go the places where you spot local customers. Highly recommend the hummus, falafel, vegetable pancake and pide. Everyone was super kind and the atmosphere was very calm and quiet. our favorite food spot during this trip.

Good food, excellent service. Found last minute when I found out our hotel had a stupid policy of no food delivery. Good seating upstairs. Can't wait to visit again this week

Had dinner here after yet another long day of walking around Istanbul. We ordered Iskandar Kebab which tasted very good but even better was the portion size as opposed to many other restaurants in the vicinity. Tables with phone chargers available inside. Recommended.

If you wish to try Locantesi style restaurant and you're near Grand Bazar, why not pay a visit to Sar. Food tastes great, warm and portions are mouthful.

One of the best Restaurants I've been in in Istanbul, lots of choices, delicious food and cheap , lovely customer service by a Kurdish waiter , I found this place late on , otherwise I would've eaten from here everyday.
I highly recommend it.

Value for Money...Good seating upstairs. All their food is amazing and prepared clean and served hot. I still can't choose which was my favourite meal...soup, grilled fish, chicken or pizza...I am going to miss it all.

It is a good restaurant. The food is good, and the price is reasonable. We arrive in Istanbul at night, this restaurant is still open until very late, and the food is also good. The staffs at midnight are still polite. My overall opinion of this restaurant is positive.

Extremely friendly, not pushy staff & delicious food. I had some Mezze, all healthy, vegan and all fresh and nicely prepared. The prices are super reasonable and the place is clean. There are options to sit inside and also outside which is entertaining as one can observe the busy street life. Try the broccoli salad and the eggplants!

The food is really nice and fresh, i love that you can see the food infront of you and being serve to you right away.

The best Döner in the local vicinity. I've tried a few others but this certainty was the King.

Personally it is my favourite in Istanbul so far. Service is great as the head waiter remembers me from before and he'll throw in complimentary treats ;)

Beyazit is busiest street of Istanbul and you will find a lot of food options there so sitting in Śar Restaurant wasn't easy but very good decision. food was very tasty and they provide us very nice barBQ items and fresh grilled fish which was very tasty. staff was very friendly and we 3 person eat a lot but bill was on 75TL which was very cheap for us the way we eat.
