Guney Restaurant

Food was delicious enough to warrant two visits! Nestled between the Galata Tower and tourist stores Guney feels bustling but the customer service was always on point. Surprisingly, little wait time for orders. You can’t go wrong with anything you order from the extensive menu. Hope you enjoy the dinning experience as much as I did.

It is an incredible place when you see it at first glance it looks like a commercial restaurant for tourists because it is in a very touristy area next to the Galata Tower, however do not let yourself be compensated with that, I invite you to sit down and eat there without any doubt is delicious and there is a very important point that is that. The food is authentic and typical Turkish but with a very good room, it is delicious, all the dishes are very well prepared and have a lot of flavour! Not to mention that you can go with your dog, they have an incredible attention and the prices are in an average neither very expensive nor very cheap I really invite you to go if you are in that area. I forgot to say that they also make the house deliberate and it's just as good as specifying what you want.

Our first waiter spoke English, the other other one did not so we just took screenshots of the items we wanted (menu is online, swan QR code). No issues whatsoever. Alcohol is a little pricey but the food is not. Delicious appetizers. Fast service and the waiter asked if the 10% surcharge was okay both times. We sat outside both times in november, and we were seated quickly even without reservations. The restaurant is however on a busy street, but the view of the tower is great. Music wasn’t too loud expect for one time when they sang happy birthday.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. Everything was very delicious. Frankly speaking, last time I had such an authentic Tiramisu was during my vacation in Italy. The staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The portions were generous and the presentation was beautiful. The experience was memorable.

Delicious - more pricey but it’s a finer dining place. I had the Belgian mussels and I felt like the portion was surprisingly big - enough for a meal with some appetizers. My mom ordered the seafood spaghetti which was fresh and delicious. We also ordered the hot yogurt which was definitely spicy but very yummy 😊 the waiter, Serkan, recommended us a delicious red wine (Myrina Kavaklidere) we ended up bringing a bottle with us! Overall great experience. You can stay warm inside or sit outside. It was quite busy but we sat down immediately upon arriving.

Located in a very crowded area but we sat inside where it didn't feel busy at all! Really enjoyed the manti and minced meat pita, everything else was good too. If you're in the galata tower area, go here! It may feel touristy but food tastes great

Visited from the UK , was met with outstanding customer service on both occasions. Minimal language barriers. A wide range of beverages from alcoholic to soft drinks. Food service was incredible ordered and received our food within 15 minutes food is served with delicious sides including salads , sauces and breads. The atmosphere is amazing describable as calm with mellow music playing quietly. If it’s your birthday the staff will go the extra mile to celebrate you in front of everyone in the restaurant. Could not recommend this place any more especially to UK visitors who want to experience Turkish cousine.

Food is amazing, especially the pides. During our 4 day stay we went here twice among other places, and it was one of the best. Waiters are very friendly and helpful, and the chefs made the food really quickly.

Everything was great! Service was incredible, the food was divine (try the spicy Turkish omelette you won’t regret it 🤤) and how they serve is so beautiful

This restaurant was recommended to me by my Airbnb host after I checked in as I was very hungry. I recommend the turkish breakfast platter for one to anyone alone looking for a nice breakfast and turkish breakfast platter for two which can easily feed up to four people. The view is amazing and the price is good, the staff are extremely nice and helpful however sometimes it gets very crowded and you’ve to ask multiple times for one thing.

Our meal here was actually a real shock. The restaurant is right next to Galata Tower and is such we expected poor food at a high price. The menu had plenty of good options and the food arrived quickly. We were impressed at the quality and quantity as well as the presentation. We both had very nice meals, service was good and the prices were rather decent so we were impressed.

Every single dish we have ordered here is mouthwatering. The portions are great and the flavor is out of this world. Beautiful ambiance with a nice and cozy vibe.
Serkan always gives a top notch service; he always greet us with a friendly smile and is extremely attentive. The man deserves a bonus!

Beautiful restaurant right at the base of Galata Tower. The food is as excellent as the views. The best Falafel and hummus I have ever had. Their bread is so fresh and good too. The service is friendly and excellent

Great place to chill and people watch. The staff are great on making sure your taken care of and don’t rush you. A must if you enjoy Turkish food!

I have to say this is my favourite restaurant in the area. Every time I come to Istanbul I go there and I am never disappointed. I love the atmosphere, service is great, you don’t need to even ask, and food is amazing. I would give 4.5 if I could just because the salmon and shrimps skewers were too small for the price, they should review the portion in my opinion but everything was delicious and I will definitely go back!!
