Bağdadi Restaurant

The restaurant is in a very beautiful building that is a few centuries old. It is a fine dining establishment. The staff is very courteous.

Each of the food items we tries was excellent, especially the lamb. They also have excellent Suryani wine.

The Bagdadi is in my eyes underrated with a 4.1 rating and I struggle to understand why this is. We’ve been here twice over the last days and we spent wonderful hours there. We never needed a reservation but we planned to go a bit earlier than 8pm which has certainly helped, also we were just a party of 2. The waiter were very attentive, the food was outstandingly good no matter what we ordered. We love the meze plates of course, and also the salads were super fresh and tasty. As main dishes we had two times meat and we loved them both as well. Not to forget the wonderful atmosphere the restaurant provides. An absolute must recommendation when being in Mardin.

Handsome but not overstated location. Discrete and efficient service. Excellent food, well presented. Not cheap, but not expensive. A well balanced restaurant that withstands the temptation to cut corners that seems so strong in towns where tourism is important.

A very nice place with good food and very good service. They did everything yo please us and did have knowledge about gluten. We are happy!

Great high end restaurant. I usually choose to discover less known places but it was late and I was hungry so I went and had a fabulous meal. (Pics to come) service was good, but the restaurant was not very busy to say the least so that mite have not been a great challenge. So all in all that’s a 10/10 from my side. First of all personnel is very nice,kind and friendly.If you want to have a dinner in here you have to make a rezervation before 3-4 weeks.Meals are very tasty and high quality I liked it,you can try “Syriac wine” it is nice.I did not face a trouble in this place.Prices are little expensive but I think you won’t regret.👍🏼

Of all the fine dining restaurants we went to in Türkiye, this place was hands down the best. It was recommend to us by my partner’s sister and I’m so grateful that she did. We ordered the hot mezze plate and the dips plate as well as 2 mains. I’m sad we couldn’t order dessert but we were just way too full.

The staff were delightful and knowledgeable about their menu and menu items. As there was only two of us, the main waiter advised us that ordering both the mixed appetisers and dips plates was going to be too much for us, and offered to give us half servings of the dips instead (thank you!).

I ordered the lamb with chickpeas and black plum sauce which was superb! Will definitely go back if I’m ever in Mardin again.

The restaurant itself is in an old historic building with great views. We were on the second floor and ordered off the ala crate menu, there was live music and a fixed menu on the 3rd floor. It wasn’t too loud where we were sitting.

While I haven't been to many restaurants in Mardin, this could be one of the best! Fabulous food, friendly service, lovely ambiance, great entertainment (live music when we were there). Accomodated us and put together an amazing vegetarian dish which can be hard to find around here.

The food in this restaurant was delicious. The staff is courteous. The menu includes alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere is nice too. It is useful to make a reservation.

Absolutely worth visiting this restaurant and not only because of their delicious food, but also because of the head of the waiters who welcomed us so warmly. Thank you so much for bringing a solution for me as a vegan. Usually when I ask if there is anything without any kind of animals products, the restaurants directly tell me there isn’t or actually sometimes lie about them not having butter while they had.
But this head of the waiters kindly asked me if I’ll like vegetable curry which wasn’t on the menu, but he ordered the kitchen to make it for me.

A beautiful place to eat in lovely Mardin, with excellent food and wine. Many local dishes on the menu and the portions are generous. The staff were very friendly and welcomig and we were touched by the care given to us by Murat and Ismail, two local lads. We visited in 2013 and again in 2022, and it was as good both times.

Amazing foods, service (especially AZAD thank you for your kindness ) building, also musicians was wonderful.
It was an unforgettable night for us. Definitely go back again.

Great food. The waiter arranged for us a dish outside of the menu (there are no vegetarian options in the menu, but it is a general problem in all mardin restaurants). Awesome view from terraces.

More expensive than the median price of restaurants in Mardin but the food was truly spectacular. The wine was also amazing.
