This place is amazing! Went to this place for sunset and sunrise and was in love with the views. Sunrise is much better of course due to the hot air balloons flying around :) Bear in mind that you have to pay a small entrance fee of 10 liras when entering a territory by foot. There is an option to reach this place by your own car for a few too.

Amazing place. As someone scared of heights who could not use air balloon, I really appreciate this place. Entrance fee is 10 turkish liras. Phenomenal view, balloons get really close here! Recommend that everyone comes here! 😍

The best viewpoint we visited. It’s worth being there just before sunset when the daylight still illuminates the mountains, and at the same time, thousands of lights sparkle in the city. There is a small fee for entry.

Is a must visit if you stay at Goreme. No matter during winter or Summer , Autumn or Spring, all year beautiful. There is picture and video attached during day and night. Now they have build a toilet on top. Of course the convenience store selling fresh juice and wine as well. There is bench you can have sit and relax enjoy the beautiful view. In the morning the balloon always tend to flower over this sunset/sunrise point, it get very close up, you can say hi to the people who fly the balloon and the pilot. There is entrance fees you need pay at 10tl, but at night when i went there is no fees.

It was a great experience! The crew and pilot were easygoing as well as fun to be around. Breakfast was included before the ride. The views were nothing short of amazing! Flying over the city, seeing all the caves from above, a clear view of the mountains in the distance, and seeing all the other balloons flying all around added to the magic of the moment. Afterward, there was champagne and snacks. They charge more for the added features, which might not be worth it for some. However, overall, it was worth the experience.

Amazing view point where you can just get a drink, sit here and wait for the sunset. Walking distance from the town. You can cut through to the other end that leads to Goreme Open Air Museum.

One of the best places to view sunrise and hot air balloons. Entrance fee 5TL, accepts only cash. At the top of the view point, there is quite a lot place, so it's not very crowded.

Lovely views from the top! Tickets cost 20TL per person. The road leading to the viewpoint is very steep, it takes about 10-15 mins by walk or 5 mins by car. Went on a snowy day so the roads were very slippery while walking up and down the slope. This place is worth visiting.

Great view point in Gerome. We were a bit late for the sunset but the views were pretty nonetheless. You can see the beautiful town of Gerome in the valley below. On the other side you can see the peaks. Early in the morning it would be a great point for seeing the balloons. Highly recommended!

Great view point of Goreme with 360 views. Entrance is 10TL per person at the main entrance. There is a back/hidden entrance but it’s hard to find (we tried with no success but managed to find it on our way down from the viewpoint).

This vantage point serves as an optimal location for observing hot air balloons. It is essential for patrons to be aware of the admission fee, set at 10 Turkish Lira per person, payable upon entry at the gate. The site promises an exceptional experience, affording visitors a panoramic spectacle of hot air balloons ascending against a captivating backdrop.

Simply amazing viewpoint for any time of the day and night. It’s an easy walk uphill, and once you’re there, you get a beautiful view of Cappadocia.

It’a stunning at night and day. This does get busy in the early morning between 5-6AM when the hot air balloons go up. It’s a sight to see and worth the early start. MUST VISIT!

There is a booth at the bottom charging 5 liras to go to the viewpoint, though you may be able to get away with it as there’s no one checking once you’re up there.

We went to watch the balloons. I can say that it is the best hill to watch in Cappadocia. You can watch the hot air filling the balloons and their ascent from all sides. It is incredibly cold between 06:00 and 08.00 in these months. I recommend that you dress thickly. Entrance per person is 5 Turkish Lira on foot. Watching the balloons from here is priceless. Add it to your to-do list before you die! Don’t forget balloons take off only in the sunrise!

Unreal view. If you stay in goreme you should take a hike to this place. The atmosphere along the way until the top was definitely something to remember!

This is a great place to view the balloons in the morning. If you drive or walk to this location you can then walk up to the left where the sunset hill is but if you go left there is a bunch of trails which have less people on them and are great for pictures. If you are coming for the sunrise make sure to arrive a bit early and find a spot that you love in order to get the best pictures! All of these pictures were taken from this general location.

Great view of the balloons, the valley and the city! At the bottom, when climbing the hill, a man sits in a booth and collects 10 lire for entry. I'm not sure it's legal 🤪

I have been perpetually that person who gets excited when the sky is in fifty shades of pretty colors. For me, miscellaneous things in life can wait, but the sunset won't. To pursue a picture-perfect evening, we chased the sunset on our first day at Capadoccia at the famous Göreme sunset point. We drove to this location and hiked up to the sunset hill. The spellbinding sunset view with the mountain peaks and the Göreme town in the valley below truly had our meltdown. Some moments are beyond plopping into words. I don't think I will ever get enough of this occurrence!

Wow - what a view!
Only a short walk for such a great reward. There's a place to get refreshments or ice cream at the top too. What a place to enjoy a beer at the end of the day. One of my most memorable nights ever!
