Must see in Istanbul. Centuries of amazing history, so many interesting artifacts and rooms, salons and exhibitions. Worth every penny to visit it. Only snack bar and cafe is outside the palace. Toilets are fairly clean, given the number of visitors.

One of the most important palaces in Istanbul. It deserves at least half a day to visit. Each museum/ show room has something meaningful to present. There are some holy collections and presentation rooms. Highly recommended. Better do some research before visiting or download museum app or find a tour guide.

Give yourself at least a couple of hours. It is easy to imagine sultans, concubines, royal family, soldiers and eunuchs inhabiting this spaces. Beautiful views of the Bosporus. There are rooms with sultans robes, fine jewelry and jewels, thrones and lots of couches. Be sure to make sure your ticket includes the concubines quarters which was very interesting.

Such a beautiful Palace to visit. They have put a lot of effort into making the place fun and interesting and it has some of the most fantastic views of Istanbul. While a bit expensive you do get a LOT for your ticket and can easily spend a few hours wandering around! From original clothes to holy relics , the place has it all.

Topkapi Palace's vast size and intricate architecture make it a captivating destination for history enthusiasts and culture seekers alike. Walking through its sprawling courtyards, lush gardens, and ornate chambers feels like stepping back in time to an era of royalty and intrigue.

However, amidst the awe-inspiring beauty lies a potential challenge: the ticket booking queue. With its popularity among tourists, the queues can be daunting, especially during peak hours. But fear not! There's a simple solution to avoid the hassle: booking tickets online in advance. By utilizing the online booking option, you can bypass the queues altogether, saving valuable time and ensuring a seamless experience at this magnificent palace.

Pretty expensive, but also super expansive. There is a ton of things to see here, the audioguide helps to get deeper insights, but I had to change the device once and walk back to the entrance to do this.

Remarkable objects and relics and you could easily spend numerous hours in this palace area. I would suggest to have minimum of 3 hours for an visit. Bring drinks and snacks, as there are not many services inside the premises.

Really beautiful and peaceful place, specially in April with all the tulips.
Yes it is a bit pricey, but for the price you spend half a day visiting the different parts of the palace (unlike Hagia Sophia which now takes 20min to visit).
The Harem is absolutely stunning, with the different rooms, the ceramics, etc. Worth the visit.
The rest of the palace is very well maintained. The pavilions each present a different aspect of life during the Ottoman Empire.
A must when visiting Istanbul.

A very well preserved and managed museum. The place is rich with history. The segments are well defined and full of historic artifacts depicting the golden age of ottoman empire and Muslim history. We found the staff to be very helpful.
Also their museum shops offer really good options to bring home memorabilia.

This is one of my favorite castles! The architecture is mesmerizing, the history, the rooms, the jewelry. Very organized and historic.
This is a typical ottoman experience. Highly recommend this place!

This place was SO COOL. I wasn’t planning on going here, and when I learned the price I definitely didn’t consider to go. I went by the exit and asked someone standing there who had just been if it was worth it and they said yes, so the FOMO got the best of me, so I went. I ended up spending four hours here. It’s gigantic, and just keeps going and going. Every time you turn a corner it’s like a whole new gigantic section to explore. Super worth it. There’s a new sultan that won’t be mad if you give them treats.

This is a must see if you're in Istanbul! Personally we preferred spending time wandering versus rushing through with a guide. We spent close to 3 hours exploring the grounds but could have spent even more - there's so much to see!

Wow!! This was not even on our visiting list. Our tour guide decided to add it on the spot!!! What a treasure. i think it is more impressive than the Blue Mosque or another famous place whose name i could not even remember or pronounce, this museum is a must see, I think local people and the guide downplay it too much, Hard to believe to see the bone from John the Baptist, the sword of King David, the stone pot of Abraham, the foot print of Mohamed, the staff of Moses, etc, all in one place. And yet, nobody talked about it. There are also so much jewelry display, arts, calligraphy.. the area where servants and eunuchs stayed. ah, so much!! I will spend at least a day here next time.

Wow! Amazing, this is Turkey history. Lets starts with some tips. Dont buy ticket online. When you walk in there is a ticketbox for creditcards. 1500 Tl (32 euro) no lines. Just buy there and skip the whole line. Easypeasy. Once in enjoy its majestic great history about the Sultan empire. The place is super big, took us 4 hours to see it all. Toilets can be crowded just go as female in the male line 😉. The holy relic wil cost the most time to get in (big lines) start there!

Also a must visit. We arranged a skip the line and 1 hour tour with guide. I was very glad I did because I would have missed too much. The palace is huge. Most is included just not the Hareem part for which you have to pay extra. Visiting it thoroughly would easily take half a day. I was very very impressed and it was all well maintained and incredibly interesting. Highly recommended.

A place full of history. Impressive Palace of the Ottoman Dynasties. Recommend to visit the Harem section as it gives more details on the daily live of the Sultan and his Family

If you come to Istanbul make sure you to visit Topkapi Palace. You will see many artifacts in great condition from the Sultans during the Ottoman Empire periods. You can plan to spend about 3 hours inside taking your time to walk around. I was surprised to see how preserved the clothing of the Sultans was. Such grand and wealth! Wow

Enormous museum! There are lots of small exhibition rooms in the palace. Jewellery museum and harem are must see. If you look all the places carefully you need 6 hours. Even I walked fast and didn’t listen to the audio guide or read the explanations at all it took more than 3 hours. 950 lira for foreign tourists.

What a great palace, fitting of an Empire and another before it. Topcapi is a destination that inspires you to look upon history and reflect on what once was. It was a great experience for me and I encourage you to visit as well!

Be sure to have couple of hours available to see everything and pre-book your tickets, either with e-pass or any other service.

Immersive experience when there’s no crowd. Beautiful palace, full of historical artifacts and stunning architecture. The entrance fee is pricey, but the experience is worth it. It took us 4 hours to visit everything, some rooms in passing.

This place was magical. We spent the entire afternoon here and saw so many breathtaking views with such a rich history of the Ottoman Empire. There was a massive love to enter The Audience Chamber where you can find Prophet Muhammad’s Belongings. There’s also a very classy restaurant that you can break for lunch. They give you indoor or outdoor seating. We chose outdoor seating. It was a great experience.
