Ruby ceramics & gift shop

The shop had very beautiful pieces everywhere! The quality is high and the designs are unique compared to other shops. It was a whole shopping experience: getting served with apple tea, learning from Sinan about the local culture, and also looking and touching the ceramics. We bought and shipped a vase to Canada and it went smoothly. Communication was quick and easy on WhatsApp. Price is on the higher side but fair because the quality is the best we’ve seen in Istanbul and definitely worth it.

I loved stumbling upon this shop - the artist Sinan Ruby poured me some lovely tea and told me about the crafts. He showed me the pieces he was proudest of, including the amazing one-of-kind pieces his grandfather had crafted and an incredible giant glow-in-the-dark vase. There were inexpensive pieces too that were easy to grab as little gifts as well as gorgeous pieces of art like the vase I purchase. Sinan was so wonderful and gave me a great deal on shipping it home to the US. I highly recommend stopping in if you like local ceramic art!

Great ceramic pieces (good quality) at a fair price. The owner was so nice and gives an amazing service. The store has different qualities of ceramics (pieces made only for decoration vs pieces which are safe for food).
After touring Turkey, definitely this store gave us the best customer experience.

Me and my friend came to visit the shop when we walked by and saw the suitcases standing out in the front, but as we moved closer, we saw beautifully crafted art exhibited in the windows. Shortly put - we came for a suitcase but stayed for the wonderfully craftet ceramics and none the least the welcoming personnel. We talked to Sinan who showed us around the store and told us about the pieces. Not only was he incredibly knowledgable about the art he had in store (which was very reasonably priced considering the top quality), but he was also a great host. We talked for long and ended up going back several times during our five-day-stay in Istanbul because of the ceramics but also because of his kindness. 10/10 experience☺🤝🏽

Excellent service and prices can be negotiated to match those in Eminonu. Very friendly staff. Bought my 5 set lamp from them and very pleased with purchase and packing that provided good protection for my flight back to England. Highly recommend this place.

The BEST shop in Istanbul!

While visiting the nearby cistern, I stumbled into this shop and had an amazing experience. Menderes, the shop owner, took time to answer our every question, and he was very knowledgeable about every product. He was a perfect example of turkish hospitality! I would recommend to anyone I know. We purchased a silk rug and are very pleased!

We were lucky to stumble upon this gem of a ceramics store. Sinan is incredibly knowledgable on ceramics and gave clear guidance on the distinguishing features of quality products (versus knock-offs sold elsewhere). We found the perfect items for our new place.

Sinan teaches a large number of ceramics enthusiasts in Istanbul; he is clearly an expert in his field. Sinan is a very genuine and kind hearted individual that made the visit all the more enjoyable.

The ABSOLUTE best spot for decorative ceramic bowls, vases, plates, etc. in Istanbul. We saw some early today in the Grand Bazaar and they did not compare to the ceramics here The owner, Sinan, is clearly very passionate about the quality of his products and it shows. Sinan was very friendly and we'll definitely be coming back here next time!

Excellent shop with high quality authentic traditional Turkish tableware and vases and many more. What is also great that the owner provides international shipping via DHL, UPS and other carriers. We bought a set of different tableware and it was delivered to Brisbane, QLD in perfect condition.

Very good quality and nice and beautiful ceramics, carpets, pashminas and lamps. Owners are brothers - Sinan and Menderes - very kind and helpful. The best and must go to Turkish pottery souvenirs shop in Istanbul!! Istanbul. Sinan was very friendly, helped us selecting the unique designs, very patience with us and took time to explain what we questioned. All hand made with original artist's signature and the quality is exquisite. We shipped our potteries and they did an outstanding job in packing. Best place for buying ceramics, lamps and rugs, original with excellent prices, better than Cappadocia. His owner Mr. Menderes his most honest guy in Turkey, is very kind, not always is the money he said!!! Don't buy cheap stuff in Cappadocia, he will give the best price and original...we have a new friend in Istanbul!

This is a multi-generation hand crafted ceramics shop in the heart of Sultanahmet neighborhood of Old Istanbul. I met with Sinan and he was extremely friendly and humble. The shop had a massive trove of handcrafted ceramics and offers shipping of any item. I bought a handheld of these great pieces. Must visit if in Istanbul, walking distance from Ayasofia.

A hidden treasure in Fatih. Sinan was so friendly and you can tell he has a lot of passion for his work. All his prices are displayed on the bottom of the products. Fair prices, no tourist prices.
